| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- So Melty needs help from a noble family after some of the recent events... Seems we're getting more of Raphtalia's past/background story and oh boy, it sure doesn't look pleasant. Some of Raphtalia's flashbacks suggests that she suffered as a slave as a child. Also, seems some nobles really shouldn't be trusted in this show... Felt like this episode had a balanced lighthearted vibe and ominous feeling. |

| Another cliffhanger for this episode, but I was satisfied specially the rapthalia back story that even princess Melty did not know that the place was like a hell for rapthalia specially the noble duke (Melty's uncle) that he was a ruthless against demi human... And for the trash king and princess bitchie Malty... Sorry both of you, naofumi and their gang are now going to another country that would not catch them....๐๐๐ |

| Finally! A place for the Shield Hero Party to hide and rest. Respect for the noble who trusted and helped them even though he got arrested by another noble and got mildly assaulted. It's extremely rare for these kinds of people to meet with the Shield Hero party. This fat ass noble is a filthy sadist who enjoys capturing and trading demi-human slaves and even normal human in general. But he stepped even further by threatening to harm Melty, the crown princess! I'm already upset knowing how this show is like, I'm pretty sure Raphtalia will at best beat him up a little and spare this fat ass pedo instead of killing him. Damn, if Naofumi knows the full extent of what Raphtalia might've gone through, he'll straight up kill this fat ass. Speaking of which, so next ep will be a backstory of Raphtalia's journey from losing her family to being caged as a demi-human slave. |

| I'm honestly sick of the whole 'I'll let the person who ruined my life go free' trope, and I am looking forward to watch Raphtalia disembowel that disgusting pig. However, this is Raphtalia we're talking about, and anything that might corrupt her pure spirit is unacceptable. I am torn. |
| I would like to get more depth Raphtalia's back story, but I also don't want another waifu to add to Naofumi's collection, hmmmm. Also, how is that noble guy so stealthy... Hmmmm. |

| This new twat is basically a caricature of your typically douche bad royal. I really wanna see this guy get slaughter by Raphtalia. Even tho it really doesn't fit her character I feel it would be justifiable based on her past. Still I doubt the writer of this LN would ever do something so bold. |
| Another week and it’s more revenge boner sighs. Does all the villains need to be cartoonishly evil?! At least this time it’s on Raphtalia and was done to give her some character development. She needed this after losing all her flaws and trauma magically disappearing after two episodes to turn her into the “perfect waifu”. |

So rape is the worst possible crime you can commit in this country, but they only dispatch the troops and distribute "Devil of the Shield" propaganda now that the crown princess has supposedly been kidnapped? And people argue that the initial premise of this story wasn't completely contrived. This episode wasn't terrible, but ultimately the show is still riding on the justice porn. Look, new scumbag villain (who was not introduced in previous episodes even though he has history with a main character) to bring down after a sufficiently tear-jerking backstory. Suddenly Raphtalia is being affected by her past even though all traces of trauma were erased overnight between two episodes. |
| Great episode. My only complaint is that Raphtalia definitely isn't going to kill that guy, because they are setting up for the old narrative tool where, in sparing his life, she shows that she refuses to stoop to his level and overcomes her past trauma. Which is sad, because it would be much more satisfying if she kills him off. |

I watched quite a lot of Disney classic movies when I was young, if not all of them. A lot of those villains, in retrospect, are just as ridiculous as the villains here, if not more. The only redeeming part was that because Disney still focused on lightheartedness for the kids, so the villains are still mostly played along as jokes even up til the end. There were exceptions, like with the Hunchback of Notre Dame. |

| The episode did a good job at not rushing through the content. I was initially worried when I saw the preview. The episode did well at building up on Raphtalia's backstory bit by bit. |

| Man Myne's tactics sure are drastic not to mention reckless. Considering how nobles treat demi humans in the current age its hard to believe that there will be nobles that are different. Still Melty's strong sense of justice sure is refreshing. If anything seeing what the world really is like has been an educational experience for Melty. Poor Raphtalia though as her place within the party is starting to shrink. Damm Melty's cute when she's embarrassed. Melty sure was brave though deciding to protect the party by herself. The rescue of Melty though sure was fun as on one hand it allowed them to increase the bond that lies between Melty and Naofumi and co and on the other it allowed Raphtalia to confront her painful past. An excellent ep that while advancing the plot also did well in expanding upon Melty and Raphtalia's characters as well. Im curious to see whether what will happen to that noble next ep. |

These people will NEVER be satisfied. They have already made the decision to disapprove this show no matter which direction it goes. Let them make their contrived complaints while hiding behind so called intellectual sound rational. - Oh btw, I've took the liberty to check their list to see which shows they found favorable over this one and all I can say is ROFLOL. |
