So glad this show's getting the flak it completely deserves.

I'm torn because i love the KF franchise so much. I never like the bandwagon hate the series got (The kind of gleeful hate that OP is displaying, for example). So it's extra painful when i can't force myself to like season 2. It's such a horrible continuation.

I think one of the strongest points of Kemono Friends season 1 was that the main character, Kaban, was smart and saved the day with cleverness, yet she stayed relatable and believable, not an unbelievable super-genius us mortals cannot hope to be like.

On the other hand, season 2's Kyururu is all about feelings. There is no shortage of characters like her. Those two birds of paradise hallucinations of hers didn't help her case at all - I already hated these kinds of sequences back in NGE over a decade ago.

The ending made perfect sense for season 2, but was totally unsatisfactory for people who came here for the mystery of season 1.
This situation can't be salvaged with just semi-cute animal girls.

It well and truly deserves it for what Kadokawa did to the series and I'll never not be pissed off that people are willing to defend the show, morally it's disgusting.
