| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Oh boy, this first episode took off fast. We're pretty much introduced to many of the main cast again. First half of the show retained the familiar mood I remember from the first season. I had a strange feeling about this episode honestly. Sure didn't take long for Shinsaku Takasugi and his group to run into some conflict already against that dual sword wielder. Felt like this episode is a calm before the storm for rest of the season. |

| The premiere episode of the 2nd season really went out fast and got straight to the point. Now that Katsura and Shinsaku knows the events of the past season, it's time to set things right. UNFORTUNATELY...as the timing have been reverted once again, there is YET another Mugensai??? Guess it works that way. And...unlike Master Shoin, this Mugensai the Second is a lot worse, having to repair Master Shoin's mistakes. Seems that chronometer has taken a life in its own, making this worse for Seimei and Co., and for everyone. To put everything in perspective, the priority for them to restore back to the original times. However, both Mugensai II and Seimei can now sense the chronometer. And of course, the Susanoo commanders are back on Mugensai's bidding. The same conflict and action arises, with Sakamoto and Izo finishing this battle. With everyone back, this season will take on a very different feel...or at least what I thought. Will see this through once again. |

| This Mugensai the ii sure is interesting than the first, he is ruthless as they come. He looks like Hijikata though and I hope he is judging by that face. That chronometer is a tenacious bitch, having its own will doesn't make it easier for the gang, I mean the thing summoned a Kenpachi lookalike Musashi. What a badass device! | Bakumatsu S2...why not!? let go for the ride! so this time the chronometer got it own will huh... I hope this doesn't go into linear type of episodic episode wherein they just wait for the sensors to pick-up the location and fight for it everytime it show-up in time space... 4/5. |

| So, there's a "Mugensai II?" We all know who is under that mask. So, they have to retrieve the chronometer, which has rebuilt itself, and is causing tears in space time. I lol'd at that bit after the credits. |
