 At the Kadokawa booth at AnimeJapan 2019 on Saturday, a second anime season for Tappei Nagatsuki and Shinichirou Ootsuka's Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu (Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-) light novel series was announced.The cast members for Subaru Natsuki, Emilia, Pack, Rem, Ram, Beatrice, and Roswaal L. Mathers have been confirmed to reprise their roles in the sequel. Nagatsuki originally launched the novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in April 2012. Kadokawa began publishing the series with illustrations by Ootsuka under its MF Bunko J imprint in January 2014. The 19th volume is scheduled for a March 27 release. Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu has a cumulative 5 million copies of its volumes in circulation. Daichi Matsuse drew the first manga adaptation in Comic Alive between June 2014 and February 2015. A second manga adaptation by Makoto Fuugetsu ran in Big Gangan magazine from 2014 to 2017. Matsuse began a third manga adaptation in Comic Alive in May 2015, which has nine volumes in print as of last November. White Fox produced the first anime adaptation in Spring 2016, covering the first nine volumes. Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu: Memory Snow, the first original video animation in the series, premiered in Japanese theaters last October. Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu: Hyouketsu no Kizuna, which adapts the prequel novel included with the first Blu-ray volume, will open in Japan in Fall 2019. Funimation licensed the anime series in North America and shipped the second and final Blu-ray and DVD volume on February 5. Yen Press licensed the novel in December 2015 and released the ninth volume on February 19. The company also publishes the manga adaptations and the Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu Ex side story. | Eh. I'll watch it just cause I watched the first season. Not hype or excited for this train wreck of a mess. Loved the beginning of first season till it focused on nothing but Rem, and completely lost interest. Just barely finished it because in hopes of Emilia parts; which were basically like zero despite her being a main character. |

| Fudge me, finally! Finally! Finally! Re:Zero Season 2 finally! Can’t fockin’ wait mate! Now, when is it coming? I’d be damned if it’s this year but sadly it’ll probably not since the OVA is due this upcoming Fall Season. Hopefully, Spring 2020 then! A literal repetition of Shingeki no Kyojin, but that’s probably the best bet! Another glorious Spring Season thanks to the grace of Re:Zero, I’ve been waiting so long for this! I hope it’ll be 25 enticing episodes again! There’s more than enough content for that but I wonder if White Fox will risk coming closer to catching up to the source material again. Whatever the case, I’m just stoked we’re getting this well-deserved Season 2! Let the hype train commence! Edit: Announcemnt PV is just fockin’ hype!
