Great episode. The plan of Norman is getting a success thanks to Emma and the kids. Ray plan to burn himself buy Emma stop him. Ray surprised that more kids know the secret and the plan. Love the flashback of their plans. And Ray, Emma and the kids cut their other ears is nice touch to outwit the Mama. And that end MVP Phil hes time to shine. Overall great episode with nice OST and adaption of this part of the manga.

OMFG... my mind is blown! That whole plan was pure genius! I still miss Norman though.

Also, what the hell is Phil doing there?! Why didn't he go with the rest? He's smart enough to know what it means to be left behind.

Holy shit this was good and the ending.... fuck me dude... I haven't seen an anime that hides everything till the last second so well and then executes it as brilliantly as Yakusoku no Neverland does.

Now I'm wondering how they will close this.
Either way, the ending is going to be extremely open by the look of it. I hope the Manga ends soon so they can release more than just 12 episodes on a second season (if there is) because 12 would be way too short for what's to come.

Other than that. This episode was on fire... literally, please bring the fire fighters!
Just give them a pair of over sized breasts and a happy ending and they'll oink for more every time

This episode was intense, I loved how it all came together. For a moment there it got me worried about Ray, but Norman's plan was pure genius. I do wonder why Phil was at the house still, he's a smart kid so I wonder what's up with that. I guess we'll find out.

The scene where Ray tried to die had no tension at all because I knew he'd live, just like I know Norman is still alive.

I know Norman is smart, but how on earth did he manage to predict Ray's actions that far into the future? Predictions with proper reasonings are much more thrilling.

Two characters cut their ears. Hope they used anesthetics like sister Krone had said. It's still going to hurt horribly later.

There is always that kid who ruins the plan. Hope this anime isn't doing something that cheap.

Okay, so the first episode was just utterly amazing, then it slowly slipped in quality to the point where I was pretty disappointed, and these past few episodes managed to make me forget how I was disappointed by the earlier episodes. This episode is literally fire.

I ended up loving this show a lot, maybe my 2nd or 3rd favorite this season.

5/5

Norman saw the gasoline tanks hiding beneath the boards of ray's beds, and combining with what ray said before (as if he's not planning on escaping with them) its easy to predict ray's actions. Plus he grew up with ray. They r practically siblings. They understand how each other would think.

It took a while, but it's finally happening! They are escaping! I just love the moment when the gears start to turn, it's now or never. Norman is gone, but he had the situation, and even Ray's suicidal plan, under control. I'm impressed with how thorough their preparation has been, it really feels like they have a big, deserved chance of succeeding. Now I just want to know why Phil stayed behind.

Ray realized that someone is missing, but he was out of the loop so this must be part of Emma/Norman's plan and Phil has a role to fulfill before joining them at some point or something. I don't think the boy who was here and there throughout the season would be left behind by Emma or out of the loop. I just hope he isn't a traitor or something, but I doubt this is the case. Well, the last episode of the season, just like part of this one, is going to be "lit"! lol

what an amazing episode , the part were ray put gasoline over himself was so amazingly done also the music was perfect for when mama realized there was a fire, her expression was gold xD

nevertheless, i enjoyed the episode. the music in the fire scene was extraordinarily good. and a nice closure at it

he most likely slowly stockpiled lampoil or something
also molotovs are surprisingly easy to make, you could make one in your kitchen tbh

Now I see why they say "fire" in the opening...

What an episode, this was so great. The escape plan in the end was still in motion thanks to Norman and Emma by keeping it quiet from Ray, pulled it off quite brilliantly... From using Ray's plan to their own advantage by not letting Ray kill himself, to the months of preporation from all the others. I love how Krone was actually the one who told some of the kids what's going on. Seems like they are making it work to escape with everyone.... however, what's Phillip doing?? OH dear this is gonna be a lit final episode, can't wait!

Ok, so Isabella got punked, by Emma and ray, but Phil is left behind, so that last episode ought not tell us that Emma and Ray would go back to get Phil or that they're plan failed.

ya know this series ought titled "Escaping Never land."

I WAS WAITING FOR THIS PART TO BE ADAPTED. Not perfect and maybe different than what I had in mind, but still very exciting! I believe the newcomers are gonna scream watching this ep lmao

As expected they had to skip a few things (as they've done in the past episodes since they are trying to adapt a almost 40 chapter arc in a 12-long anime), but it was good nevertheless.

I would recommend the newcomers that are a bit confused to check the manga, where everything is properly explained.

PHIL IS SO FUCKING ADORABLE.

I'm assuming there is a reason they left phil behind. It would be a shame if they forgot about him since the only kids that have more screen time than him are don and gilda.

I have my slight belief that Phil got so angry at Mom he is going to stab her in the leg or something to make sure she does not get a chance of catching the kids... OR he is actually fine with what he has been told and deliberately stayed behind to be a hostage. And I don't know which is worse.

Wow, Norman is super intelligent. Everything is so unexpected in this ep. Ray is still in awe. It's right to hide things from Ray cuz it won't be possible to convince him. Can't blame him though, he's suffering alone for so long, turn to the hardcore yandere. His expression at fire scene outshine actually, so determined to protect his friends to the end. There are so many awe moments and feel like this ep was only 8 or 10 mins. Really Like Emma in this ep. So, next ep is the season finale. We gonna miss that amazing show.

Careful though I believe it is important to understand Rays reasoning. He does not explicitly do that for the sake of his friends, his main motivation throughout his whole life is to get back at the demons who dared to label him as a merchandise. By self-immolating he was going to first ruin their system, if only as much as he can do so.

This episode hyped me as much as the 1st episode did. Brilliant episode. I always see manga readers complaining but I don't have any issues with this adaptation.

Is there a chance of a second season?

Well, that completely f*cked me around. God dammit. Did they actually leave some kids to die, 'cause they weren't carrying all of them; this anime has me too deep, they didn't even confirm its episode total for the longest time -only for them to give us this sort of climax. God.
I'm not even thinking about whether Norman is dead at this moment... cause sh*t just got very real.

From the get go, Ray was my favourite. Still is.

However it was daft of her to leave her ear so conspicuously, ya coulda gamed it a bit more than just leaving in the bucket... like outside or somewhere, or in the nursery.

Ray told Emma his plan about burn down the house, and be used as a distractor, but Emma stopped him, apparently Norman communicated with Emma. They cheated Isabella cutting their ears (transmisor) and leaving it on the fire, Emma did the same in a bathroom and Don triggered the plan, Emma saw everyone in the forest (incluiding Ray). Isabella is outside the orphanage watching it burn, Phil encountered her.

Emma impressed me, I don't know what kind of ending I'm expecting, but Emma really executed that plan, I don't see any baby with them, I think Emma realized that carrying everyone with her would be lot of trouble. There's an interesting role for Phil, I think.

And so, the escape truly begins!

It was a pretty tense build-up of emotions between Ray and Emma. Ray caught me by surprise when he dosed himself with the fuel and gave off one of the most psychopathic expressions I've seen for a long time in anime, but even then, his plan was thwarted by Emma and her plan went into motion immediately.

They still went ahead of starting the fire in the dining room to lure out Isabella and it worked perfectly. The kids were able to escape with Don and Gilda, plus Emma and Ray, who went to the lengths of cutting their left ears off completely so that the tracking signal would screw Isabella over. Plus, the entrance to her secret room was also sealed off, so she couldn't contact headquarters either.

Only when the kids arrived at the wall was when Ray noticed something off. Not all of the kids joined in this daring escape plan and when the scene returned to Isabella having a small crazy expression moment about declaring that Emma and Ray were still alive, it was Phil, of all kids, who caught her attention.

I know that the manga readers in the posts above have already popped off about Phil, but I'd rather let the final episode explain to me, if it does, about why Phil remained at the burning Grace Field House with Isabella and not went with Emma and Ray's group. So please don't give me a spoiler filled response? ^^;

Other than that, this was another excellent episode, filled with exciting turns and twists and also delivered extremely well in terms of visuals and the OST. Let the final episode be another great one!

Holy heck I thought Ray died, but turns out Emma knew his plan all along... So, Ray isn't actually "super smart" or anything, just forcefully studied. DAaaamn, all the kids knew about the plan, and they're all cooperating willingly, that's impressive. One kid stayed behind, I guess not everyone was willing... Amazing episode.

Uhhh finally stuff happened again! Great episode! But I do hate "mystery" anime which create their puzzles by intentionally not telling the viewers what the MCs know. That shit made me drop Gosick, I mean its great and all for the surprise, but that works only once. No rewatch value this way. So I will leave this at a 7 for now.

I do hope this ends nicely, not in a cliffhanger open ending, second seasons arent guaranteed and take foreeeeever.

So phil is gonna stab Mom, and he wanted to get her attention because he is a sadist, nice.

PS: I love the outro! For me EDs are pretty much always way better than OPs, but still, its great!

Another childern didn't get rid of tracking device. Remember mom herself who ask Gilda to take childern out of home, Isabella mistake is she didn't realize thr childern use shoes when they was going out. Also Isabella was too focus on Ray and Emma because they are best merchandise. The reason Ray get rid of his tracking device is to make Isabella believe he was at the fire when she look at tracking device

Honestly, i am without words! This episode was magnificent, happened so much unexpected things during this episode, my mind got stunned a lot of times! And the plan was really exciting to watch, damn!

Ray were pretending to suicide for distract mom, Norman predicted that and told the plan to Emma, Emma managed to save him, but i really thought he was dead!

So while Emma looked depressed for mother she was really giving instructions to the kids, emma outwits mother and even Ray!

So Phil is not with the group, he showed up close to mother, i wonder what is her role!

Now that this episode aired I can finally make this joke.

Episode 1: Norman- "Ray's much better at tactics than me"
Episode 11: Ray-"I have the perfect plan Emma. I'm gonna set myself ON FIRE!"

Yeah this episode was great. Ray's expressions were well animated. Surprised the cut up the escape in two episodes like this but it works.
