Big menu sizes. You know, our big mcdonalds coke is your small size. That's unhealthy af und you will get fat in no time with these sizes.

based on my experience and observation, i realized a lot of americans shower in the morning but not at night, and it doesn't make sense to me
since after your morning shower, you would usually go outside to work or to study, and you get all those germs and her dirty stuff onto your body
when you come back, they stay on you, including the sweat, and that's totally unaccpetable for me

That is because we receive a haughty super power education and morality. Which is ironic when US SJWs lord their anti-imperialistic morality over the rest of the world when you think about it.
China is undergoing a similar generational education process.

Though, probably not quite as haughty as an Imperialist who understands that force is the ultimate and final determinate.

some aspects of american cuisine are shit, in other words, it lacks sensitivity in some areas. what is typically “good” in america invokes strong emotions, sometimes too strong. excess without the awareness of the “right” amount.

I shower in the morning, as I need to get wash my hair and get rid of the bed germs and smell. I could shower at night, but I'm lazy and it also wastes water.

Their education system is weird to me. The majors and minors in university. Also some weird degrees like gender studies. Even the type of exams they have is weird, cause we have to write pages upon pages of answers and explain everything in detail 99.9% of the time. And this happens in all grades, from primary school up to university or even post graduate programs.

We don't only have cheap chocolate. We have many proper chocolate stores with handmade chocolate, although you have to be in a city for those usually. I live near one called L.A. Burdick Chocolates and their chocolate is completely out of this world.
We also have a lot of good brands such as Chuao, Alter Eco, Endangered Species, Theo, Lake Champlain, Raaka (best dark chocolate I ever had personally), TCHO, etc.

you got it backwards! If you shower in the morning, you'll be clean the whole day. You sweat a lot at night, and some people sweat so much that they smell pretty bad if they don't shower in the mornings. Your hair can be greasy and gross too if you sweat a lot at night.
You wanna walk around like that all day? That's weird.

For very many people it makes way more sense to shower in the morning.

Americans pronounce a lot of words wrong. They pronounce capo as "Cape-o," when it's actually "Cap-o/Cop-o." They rhyme lever with "clever," but it's supposed to rhyme with "beaver."

They also use strange words like "y'all" and "cuss."

They also have handguns, and they think it's okay to carry them, and defend themselves with them, which is just messed up.

They wear their shoes indoors. In my country, you take your shoes off when entering a home.

They have a very unhealthy superiority complex.

They put butter on their pancakes. Nobody does that where I live.

Many of them seem to be against Universal Health Care, which makes no sense.

Your food. I like my sweets and fatty foods every now and then but I wouldn't be able to eat that every day. Chill out with the portion sizes too.

I recently watched some video on differences between dating cultures and it seems like a lot of traits that are considered desirable there (on men) are big turn offs here. Like constant bragging about money or status or being overtly aggressive. I must admit, rather than being attracted, I'd feel like running away if I saw somebody like that.

Attitudes towards sex and nudity seem to be ridiculously conservative over there too. Like who bothers censoring butt cracks?

Americans don't shake hands when they meet someone or a friend, they just shake it the first time they met and that's all. In my country we shake hands with 10 people if we have to, it's respect.
They pronounce football as soccer which is wrong and a blasphemy. Calling football soccer is banned in Europe.

are you american btw? well, i got that from others too
* and by saying night, i mean you shower before you sleep, techniqually

i have american friends who came over to my place and they did not shower at night, which shocked me when i realized its a norm for most people who live in the midwest

well, my past roommates shower at night too, and they're americans
so i guess, it's more like generally many americans prefer to shower in the morning

* and well, i personally shower 2 times a day
one in the morning, a longer one at night before i go to bed
since my ac is always on, ive never sweat before (i mean noticeably) when im inside my apartment at night

ok after some responses, i think its actually not an american thing at all
but in asia, no one would shower in the morning unless they're going to shower twice (one in the morning one at night)
perhaps its a midwest thing? i live in indiana btw

From my experience visiting 3 places in the US and talking to lots of people from the US online, they're not weird at all compared to Canada. The main thing I've noticed is a lot of things are just slightly better there. Like, if you go to Taco Bell here they keep all the sauce packets hidden behind the counter cause they're stingy and don't trust the customers but at Del Taco in the states they have a basket at every single table with tons of sauce packets to take as many as you want. So awesome.

What are you even talking about? You must be confusing clever with cleaver. Both American and British English agree with me. I have no idea if there is some different way it's said in Canada or if you have a hearing problem.

Y'all is only spoken in a small region of the US. One other even smaller region says yous lol but most places use neither.

Shoes off or on is more individual than cultural in the US. I don't wear shoes inside except if having to head out quickly.

I don't put butter on pancakes. That is just how they are served in some places. It's more like a decoration almost.

Another weird thing is that so many people are in debts and it's more or less considered as normal? Also, college debts, how can you do this to young people?
Also, a classmate had an aunt in the USA and many people are in deep debts, so they can buy a big house with garden in the suburbs like everyone else there and her aunt thought it's normal (and everyone else there) to get even more loans, just because her neighbour got a new, very expensive kitchen and she wanted to. Just because to have a status symbol too.

And from that classmate, I heard that the school stereotypes about different charactery types and cliques there aren't that far away from reality.

The ass backwards mm/dd/yy format of date. Especially how they phrase it. "March the 14th". The fuck does that even mean? Is every single day in the month of march called "march", and today is supposed to be the 14th one in the line of succession? dd/mm/yy makes far more logical sense. The elements are arranged in the decreasing order of change. And most of all, "14th March" doesn't sound like a weird royal title. It means the 14th day in the month of march.

The date format I think is by order of how it's spoken in shortest form

March 14th, 2019
instead of
14th of March, 2019

So it makes sense in that way even though DDMMYY makes more sense data wise.

That's actually a big point; I've never seen an actual pistol before me ever.

Also: bleeps on TV. I don't think there's a single word in the Dutch language that is not allowed here on television at any time of the day; I've never seen a bleep on Dutch television.

not sure how Japanese think of this.

Japanese usually don't take a shower in the morning. as you see in anime, after waking up in the morning, those chara only brush their teeth, comb their hair, and change their clothes. they take a bath/shower after they go back from schools/universities/workplaces. that's also the reason why they don't take a shower/bath in the morning. because they already did at night.

you may be familiar to the scene of an anime chara telling another "the bath is ready" which usually happens at night.

and that habit does not only present in anime but also in everyday's life of japanese people.

it will be more sensible to take a shower in the morning and around 4 PM. thus you wash your body twice a day.

if sleeping at night makes your body sweaty, then doing activity at day is just the same. even if its just working at office. you better take a shower twice a day. plus you better also change your underwears twice a day.

why don't you try sniffing your armpits after you're back from school/univ/workplace and see if they smell fine.

You can say the same thing for country of sufficient size.

US wouldn't exist without England; England wouldn't exist in its current form without Normandy or Frisia and neither would have existed without Rome of course.

Read this and the biggest thing is on shower-patterns lol

Please, unless you do so already or it's normal for you don't take multiple showers in a day. Waste of water, and strips your skin of essential oils/nutrients--regardless if you put lotion on afterwards. If you sweat bad, companies make things for that.

Time of shower is good but depends on how people prepare themselves afterwards. In the day, having hair wet before styling is easier for some by reducing the time it takes to get ready to leave the house.

I definitely noticed that the US in general has this weird overobsession with hygiene where you kind of feel that they know that really it's no big deal but no one wants to be the first to say because all the others call you filthy there.

Like how apparently in the US you cannot wear clothes two days in a row... like what waste of washing water is that? Of course if you didn't actually stain your clothes you can wear the same shirt two times in a row; you realize you spend close to half the day between your sheets right? Do you wash your sheets every day too?

Wearing the same clothes for three days if you didn't actually go sporting in them or it's not super hot outside is absolutely fine.

Or that thing where they wash their entire body with soap instead of just their hair and concave surfaces and it's apparently a big revelation to them when you tell them that you don't actually need to use soap on your body and simply scrubbing it with water is enough. Like I don't know how they do it; if I use soap on my body my skin feels dried out and itchy afterwards.

It is obvious that "obscenity" is not a term capable of exact legal definition; in the practice of the courts, it means "anything that shocks the magistrate".

Getting offended for people of different ethnicities and cultures, despite those people not being offended themselves. Americans love to speak for everybody else, but they don't enjoy actually listening to the opinions of those different from them. Why? Bc they're taught that they're always right.

That, and wearing dirty/outdoor shoes in their bedrooms/on their beds. How disgusting.
