This show is cute and has a lot of meta humor. The main character reminds me a lot of Nadeshiko from Yuru Camp, yet Mao-senpai is probably the best character of the show. Definitly more on the moe side of things. Yet manages to distinguish itself from other entries in that genre.
Bajar
It has a hilarious cast and they go on bizarre and funny adventures. It offers a refreshing take on a genre that is dominated by harems and overly serious action scenes.

There's surprisingly a lot to love about a fantasy SoL CGDCT. Cheerful, but diverse (perhaps admittedly tropey) personalities. It's never claimed to be thought-provoking or even that comedy focused. Don't let my parenthesis stop you from just enjoying some good old, silly fun between 4 girls and their unorthodox teacher.

Cute is the best way to describe this show. It's also fun to watch as it tastefully makes fun of itself and the whole adventurer/hero/demon lord genre, kind of how Hataraku Maou-sama does it, although in a very different way. The interaction of the main characters is funny, but what makes it entertaining is some of the secondary points that it makes, like a lonely Demon Lord and a near sighted elven Archer.

Well if you liked KonoSuba then you should give this a shot too. In essence it has a lot of similarities as this is also mainly a parody of the whole RPG/isekai genre, but it's not as mean-spirited. Instead it doubles as a moe show, but it manages to be both cute and genuinely funny at the same time. What I also think is interesting is how the demon lord gets sent back in time until before the hero actually became the hero and tries to prevent it from ever happening - this plotline could honestly have worked as a serious psychological thriller of sorts if they had wanted to go down that line, but this works just as well of course

A very relatable and heart warming show in which we have daily lives of MC and his cat. We get both perspectives from the cat and the main dude.
MisaoAino
This is a wonderful, cute and relaxing show about a socially awkward guy who adopts a cat as a pet. Characters are sympathetic and lovely. You can easily get fond of this sweet slice of life show.
DrainZ
A wholsome, heartwarming show a about a reclusive author who adopts a cat. Half of the show is shown from the MC's perspective and half from the cat's perspective, which the show uses to potray how they view the world differently. The characters are all very likable and I can personally relate a lot to the MC.

Honestly this is one of the best shows this season I think. It's a very wholesome slice of life show about a shy author and his attempt at owning a cat for the first time. It's cute and heartwarming, but what I like about it the most is how realistic it is. A large portion of the show is shown from the cat's perspective and it's all very believable in how she looks at the world and thinks. Oh and may I just point out just how rare it is to see pet raising as a central theme in an anime? Surprising really when you think about it but yeah
Jokobo
I love to watch how different are perspectives of protagonist and his cat. The format of the episode (division between protagonist and cat perspective) is very interesting and it is quite an unusual approach.

I like watching the socially awakward main character getting to interact with others due to the change of getting a cat. Also I really like that we get to see both points of view (cat and owner)

Kawaii. Kawaii. KAWAII!!!!!!!! How is this not super popular T_T It's a pretty realistic SOL. Particularly for anyone who has a pet and wonders what they think of you XD I really like Mikazuki and Haru and the developing trust between owner and pet. Also the side characters are entertaining. Overall a nice feel good show and it really cheers me up after a long day at work. WATCH IT!

This is actually #8 on my Seasonal list for Oda class. To be honest, I didn't have high hopes hen I first went into watching it, but every week I am just blown away by the story line. The characters are very relatable for me, and Haru's bacstory in itself will leave you feeling so warm and fuzzy, but at other times sadder than you thought was possible for an anime about a man and his cat. the animation style is smooth, and the story is fluid with many likable characters, along ith positive character growth from the main cast. Can't praise it enough! |
