Hi, I am relatively new to anime and have watched a few. But I havent really stuck to one genre. So I was wondering what animes I should watch next. Prefer not to watch any really long anime such as naruto, bleach, dragonball.
(You can look at my anime list but I doubt that will help as I havent watched too much).

I find it better to watch the Long-Running Anime at the beginning of your Anime Watcher career , but maybe it's just me.

If you don't want it , then Mainstream Anime like :

Shingeki no Kyojin
Sword Art Online
Tokyo Ghoul

or everything that you have Here.

Me , what I do is that when I find an Anime with a synopsis that I like , I put it in my bookmarks ; then from time to time , I pick one at random and I watch it. (I'm at something like 500 Animes in my bookmarks)

A good start could be to see some cheerful series, like Barakamon or Bokura wa Minna Kawai-sou, and then to climb up to see something more mature or diverse.

Shows like Psycho-Pass, the two seasons of SNAFU/Oregairu. and Steins;Gate have critical acclaim and are some of my all-time fav, but it's a bit hard to "engage" in some cases.

(My list have more shows with ratings, is not much, but I hope it helps you)

Where can we find our true selves?

Millennial Actress has yet to be suggested,
so i'd definitely recommend that movie.

Movies are nice too because it's a one shot.

I suggest keeping an open mind to different demographics and genres, because you never know, if you don't try them out!

Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood

Hunter x Hunter 2011

Assassination Classroom

Steins; Gate (some people don't like the anime until episode 10 or 11 and think it gets better then, but I liked the whole thing).

Re Zero: Starting Life in Another World

Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica (Don't judge just watch, at least watch until episode 3 before judging). Also known as Puella Magi Madoka Magica

Made in Abyss (Don't judge just watch)

Boku dake ga Inai Machi (I didn't like the ending but I liked the journey getting there). Also known as Erased

Psycho-Pass (I personally didn't like the second season as much, but liked the
first season)

Cowboy Bebop

Little Witch Academia

Yuru Camp

Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka?

Akatsuki no Yona (Warning anime has cliffhanger ending, but I personally really
enjoyed it).

Death Parade

Toradora (Make sure to watch the end credit of the final episode, some people
miss it)

Your Lie in April

Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun

Usagi Drop (Don't read the manga)

A Silent Voice (Movie)

Wolf Children (Movie)

Sora yori mo Tooi Basho

Sakamichi no Apollon

Grand Blue

Hi! You should definitely give these a try:

Bungou Stray Dogs + the sequels Bungou Stray Dogs 2nd Season, Bungou Stray Dogs: Hitori Ayumu and the movie Bungou Stray Dogs: Dead Apple(there's also a third season coming out this spring)

Fruits Basket

Full Moon wo Sagashite

Fullmetal Alchemist + the remake Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood(i personally recommend starting with the 2003 version and then watching Brotherhood, because the remake rushes through the first chapters and as a result doesn't flesh out the characters and scenes as much in the beginning.)

Hataraku Saibou + the special Hataraku Saibou: Kaze Shoukougun

Inu x Boku SS

Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi

Katsugeki/Touken Ranbu

Noragami + the sequel Noragami Aragoto

Shaman King

Shin Shirayuki-hime Densetsu Prétear

Shoukoku no Altair

Tegamibachi + the sequel Tegamibachi Reverse

Zetsuen no Tempest

*Yona of the dawn. amazing music and story about betrayal. and great characters. It gets even better when the dragons shows up after some episodes!!

*The heroic legend of Arslan-adventure. royalty.
*Seraph of the End-vampires. human mc got a friend on the vampires side.
*The devil is a part-timer-comedy. after a failed world conquest, the demon king and his general flees temporarly to earth and start working on mcdonalds. and they meet The Hero as well. and Lucifer.
*B: The beginning
*Inuyashiki-lot of action. Mc with twisted mind.
*Your Name
*Attack on titan-action. a lot of gore scenes.
*Grandmaster of demonic cultivaton. The anime countines as a light novel. can be read online for free. IF YOU SEE THE ANIME FIRST: start from chapter 11-13, jump to 18 and read forward.

*no.6-a little Shounen Ai, but only very, very little.
*The royal tutor
*Monster-if you like a well written mystery drama. Not if you like action all the time.
* Rokka: Braves of the Six Flowers-MYSTERY
*Natsume's Book of Friends-slice of life and mystery and supernatural. not a lot of action
*Laughing Under the Clouds (gets good around episode 3-4)
*kabaneri of the iron fortress. A lot of action. Mc is half human half monster.
*The legend of the Galactic heroes. Politics. Space battles. Better than Star Wars (my opinion)
