People start comparing this to GS?

you know recently they upload the trailer on the youtube and what surprise me that in the comment they comparing the series with goblin slayer. why are they comparing to GS? just because it is has the almost same title? if yes then that's a relief. but if they comparing to GS because of possibility of disturbing moment like what they do in GS, then i will take alert for watching this.

Oh wow. Can't believe this thread exists. Kimetsu no Yaiba is absolutely nothing like GS, which is trash IMO. There's no rape in this series. I guess they both have violence, but there's really no reason to compare these two series.

I would say in some aspect they are similar, but they are still distinctively different

I don't know who still remembers Sola , but the antagonist backstory on episode 9 was exactly this. Oddly enough, that was the only episode that I remember perfectly despite having watched the series almost a decade ago.

In the grand scheme it can be. That's when writing and dialogue need to shine to make up for it, like the time Bruce Wayne went to jury duty. It was interesting and a nice change of pace. Saw a way of thinking and mindset I never thought they'd touch with Batman, since I thought like you.

At the end of the day it depends on who writes it and what version you're reading. At first glance sure it's repetitive, but it can be more and has been more. You can't even compare the writing of Batman as a whole to Goblin Slayer since there's been a multitude of people to write a plethora of stories about Batman meanwhile we have 3 at most for Goblin Slayer? And that's only if the manga and anime versions didn't follow the novel and vice versa.

Lel. Where is the piece of shit like Goblin Slayer and where is this dark fantasy-shonen masterpiece Kimetsu no Yaiba. This has no rape and all that bullshit. Bloody as hell, well organized and throughout actions through and through. Very Well written story and very well crafted characters (including minor ones) which are unlike that empty flat out Goblin Slayer. I do enjoy Goblin Slayer but it's no where near Kimetsu no Yaiba's category.
