| I've heard from others that it's 48 pieces and some have mentioned 12. The synopsis for this 2019 adaptation says 48, but I'm just confused on which one is true. I just started watching this and I'm already loving it. I just want to know how many pieces of him that bastard of a father gave to the devils |

I would've like for it to be longer though, but I'm hoping there's at least 24 episodes. Episode 5-6 made me both sad and angry for what happened to Mio and for what she was doing as well, but I hope the next episodes are great as well |

| In the manga Hyakkimaru doesn't even fight 48 demons, the story just sort of ends without a real conclusion. So it makes more sense to reduce the amount in the anime, but he actually fights all 12 of them. |
