But I've seen some ppl saying that they are just tired of it, what you guys think?

Most of the time I find lofi hip-hop mind-numbingly stale and boring. For studying I prefer minimal techno and deep dance.

I like lofi, I don't listen to it too often but it's nice background music sometimes. It can get a bit repetitive though.

My head literally can't handle it.
It's just the same sounds over and over and over again.

it's far too repetitive and it turns my brain into mush, i dislike it quite a bit. if i want to listen to some instrumental hip-hop i'll listen to j dilla's donuts instead

i'd really only listen to it if i needed background music while i'm engaging in some sort of activity that requires me
to concentrate a lot. mostly because i forget about it playing until i've stopped for a breather.

I listen to a lot of lofi throughout my days (hell, I'm listening to it right now), especially when I smoke. It just keeps me in a chill state of mind, which I need with how much stress I deal with. I fully understand that it's not a genre everyone will vibe with; it definitely does get repetitive. There's some tracks I literally can't listen to anymore, but just like with any other genre, I've found that if you dig deep enough, you'll always be sure to find a new gem. I especially enjoy lyrical chillhop, like this. Anyway, like I said, it's not for everyone, but I love it =P

lo-fi hip hop is a weird genre that i definitely think could have some sort of quality to it if done right but personally i'd just listen to Nujabes or just straight smooth jazz if i was going to go with something like lo-fi.

I love production heavy hip hop, or instrumental songs with some good beats.. but most of the time, lofi is too basic and repetitive.
if you like lofi, give 'Knxwledge' (Hud Dreams/Anthology/Butterskotch) or 'Madlib' (Bad Neighbor Instrumentals/Piñata) a try. maybe some of 'MF Doom's instrumental albums (Special Herbs 0-9). a little bit more detailed than your average lofi track but not too much.

I do, but it pretty much has to have lyrics. I love to listen to it when I'm high because it makes me really mellow.

I absolutely love it. It's what I'm listening to if I'm studying, reading, or just surfing the internet.

I usually listen to ChilledCow's stream on YouTube or this

I've finished that 9 hour video in one sitting on a couple of occasions when doing homework or studying for finals.

i love it and it's possibly the music genre i listen to the most nowadays, i know a lot people find it repetitive and boring but for me it's really relaxing and perfect to have as a background while you're doing other things.

Don’t mind it and use it for background ambience every now and then. But I think that most of these lo-fi “producers” nowadays aren’t as inspired or creative when it comes to making stuff. They go through the same process and can make a beat tape in like a day. Feels like any kid with a DAW on his computer can become one of those these days. When I do listen to it, I prefer those that sorta emulate the boom bap feel you’d get from producers like Madlib and Dilla; don’t mind the occasional stuff that plays on those streams every now and then.

I love it.

My favourite album that I have found so far is "Nymano - Short Stories".

What albums / mixtapes do you guys recommend?

ready 4 the hate, but it's super cringe esp when I find X fanboys making lofi songs.
love X tho, but most of the time Lofi doesn't work for me unless if it's just the instrumental and then i'd be able to study with it playing in the background

I like it. It's perfect to play in the background when trying to focus on typing up a research paper for class.
But not all lofi. gotta find the good shit

I like all kinds of hip-hop (and music, for that matter), but lo-fi hip-hop is an absolute jam. I spent hours just talking while listening to it in the background. It just keeps me really chill and helps my thought process.

I love lofi! It's one of my favorite genres. Great for listening while sleeping, working, or just when you need some calm background music and got tired of looping your playlist of Zelda music.
