Sakura from Zombieland Saga. She feels like whenever a good thing is happening, something's just going to come along and ruin it, but just need a kick up the proverbial arse to get her out of the mindset
Of course for me that took years, while for her it took a couple days

Gaku Yashiro, because he is the male version of me in every way. I relate to everything about him and he represents me perfectly.

The closest character, in some aspects, that I can think of is Shima Rin (Yuru Camp). That's mostly on personal level, I identify with her quite a bit. If someone can recommend me a character that's essentially a female version of Yang Wen-li, that character would take the cake. But alas, I can't think of any such character.

(i'm nb and present myself in a feminine way, so ill just say "opposite" is a guy)

without a doubt, shirou emiya from the fate series. specifically from unlimited blade works. that entire series destroyed me emotionally and a bit into the second half, there was a scene where rin started screaming at shirou for not taking care of himself and not caring if he died, just as long as everyone lived and was happy. i had to actually pause the episode because i broke down crying, realizing that i'm shirou emiya. he's both my favorite character and the one i most relate to

Chihaya Kisaragi, from The iDOLM@STER.

* deeply musical
* can be very emotional
* sort of a loner
* bad at cooking, cooks simply for oneself
* not a very "fun" person in parties
* may have an odd sense of humor, particularly for silly things

Woot, more love for Beatless~

I felt that all five of them were compellingly intriguing in their representations of five different "visions" for the role of AI in the world. Kouka represents AI as a weapon, a tool to gain a competitive edge.
Avatar character is Gabriel from Gabriel DropOut.

Uhm, generally speaking, I would say Asuka from "Hibike! Euphonium" mostly because at her age (17/18 years old) I had the same attitude regarding some things that I would find "childish/pointless/absurd" although for other teenagers, said things weren't. Not to mention that both of us have a more mature personality (yet goofy sometimes) for our ages due to some personal circumstances.

This is me. Literally me. No other character can come close to relating to me like this. There is no way you can convince me this is not me. This character could not possibly be anymore me. It's me, and nobody can convince me otherwise. If anyone approached me on the topic of this not possibly being me, then I immediately shut them down with overwhelming evidence that this character is me. This character is me, it is indisputable. Why anyone would try to argue that this character is not me is beyond me. If you held two pictures of me and this character side by side, you'd see no difference. I can safely look at this character every day and say "Yup, that's me". I can practically see this character every time I look at myself in the mirror. I go outside and people stop me to comment how similar I look and act to this character. I chuckle softly as I'm assured everyday this character is me in every way. I can smile each time I get out of bed every morning knowing that I've found my identity with this character and I know my place in this world. It's really quite funny how similar this character is to me, it's almost like we're identical twins. When I first saw this character, I had an existential crisis. What if this character was the real me and I was the fictional being. What if this character actual became aware of my existence? Did this character have the ability to become self aware itself?

Asuka from NGE because tsundere, hate to be outperformed,still pretty smart and having the tendency to call slightly less intelligent people 'are you an idiot' quite a lot. But only for close friends.
For strangers, any mixture of kuudere and dandere.
"You are the result of 4 billion years of evolution. Act like it."
"Why don't you eat make up? Then you can be beautiful on the inside too."
"'Sick'? Call me 'twisted'. 'Sick' makes it sound like there's a cure."
"What's messed up isn't my thinking, what's messed up is this god damn world."
"The world isn't perfect, but its out there doing the best it can for us. That's what makes it so damn beautiful."

Fujiwara no Mokou from Touhou (there's manga, it totally counts) https://myanimelist.net/character/8919/Mokou_Fujiwara_no?q=Fujiwara%20no. Basically an embodiment of my angry subconcious. Becoming immortal to spite someone is incredibly relatable.

Most likely Yuu, from Yagate Kimi ni Naru. I'm extremely contemplative, thoughtful, and even being so I don't seem to understand myself that much. I evade a lot, I can be extremely cold even though I feel a lot deep inside; I'm quite serious most of the time and I consider myself painstaking.

So if I would get genderbend into a an anime girl, I probably would be a cross between

Golden Darkness from To Love Ru

and

Mio Akiyama (K-On!)

Why you say? Oh, it's not like I'm not a kuudere and/or a bit scared/shy or anything. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

That's a hard one for me.
I barely really relate to any characters, now you say only females.

It would have to be Fuwa Aika, not because she acts like I do, but because I literally felt her life when her background was exposed.

Tho the character I relate the most with is Vessalius Oz

And because it is the truth, that makes it just.
It’s persuasive, isn’t it? Don’t you want truth like that? 』

Here's an out of place, non-anime answer: Charlie Watson from Bumblebee

Everything about her from the way she thinks to her personality really resonated with me. There's this one scene where she's getting shit from a popular girl and she doesn't cartoonishly fight back or respond, she just stares at her for a few seconds wondering how someone can even be that shallow and stoop so low and it was so relatable GAH I love Charlie so much lol. But yeah, Charlie is pretty much a gender-bent version of me and I adore her just as much as I do everything else about that movie (oh and I love The Smiths as well hehe).

If I had to pick an anime character though I'd say either Ohana Matsumae from Hanasaku Iroha or Tsubasa Hanekawa from Monogatari

Urazoe Iona (WIXOSS)
Morikawa Chinatsu (same anime as above)

Iona is calm shows little emotion and is straight to the point. No bullshiting. (I am like that with strangers and colleagues)

Chinatsu is cool a badass, a bit trusting and feels she has to get stronger for her own sake. (I change knowing that the personality I might end up with is the one I think I should have and be, but I feel that changing yourself can be a two person job at times, just like it happens with Chinatsu).
