I don't know how I feel about that, especially since I'm not really a fan of comedy, but hopefully it is mesh well together.

I've read the first 3 volumes and it definitely works well. In fact, that's one of the main things this manga is known for. Having comedy and horror together which works.

Doubt how well the anime will be able to adapt, but the manga uses black comedy frequently, so if you are a fan of that, you will be able to enjoy it.

The manga was just awesome. If MAPPA does things right, then we will be in for a good ride!

What are you referring to?

All I can say is that I've seen Inuyashiki and it was very well done.

Inuyashiki wasn't bad. The fact that it wasn't bad doesn't imply it was good (it was decent IMO)

Being good or bad might not be the studio's fault, maybe it's just how one likes or dislikes the original story, but the production itself was very well done.

But if that's not it then what's wrong with Mappa?

Milkdrinkers nowadays call anything decently gory a "horror".
I guess it got this tag for brutal murder/torture/dismemberment scenes, not for actual horror.
Body horror, they say

It is definitely horror and not just because of body gore.

It's dark comedy.
It's like some of you have never watched stuff like Beetlejuice.

No I have never watch beetlejuice, which is why I ask the question in the first place. Anyways I have gotten my answer after watching 2 episodes, it does mesh well.
