I was trying to read some manga, I have a laptop and if I read on browser 70% of the screen is something else and if I get a fullscreen version it's almost as bad.
So I was wondering how do you guys manage to do it, are you reading on phone/Ipad or do you have some software that make it tolerable ?

TL;DR : How do you read manga on 16:9 screen without having 60% of the screen useless

I normally read it on mobile devices.
It's usually easier to read that way especially since you can move it closer to your face if necessary.

I usually read on my phone with Mangastorm app. Sometimes I use Kissmanga on my computer with zoom at 125-150% and it looks decent enough for me.

Back in the day I had a friend that his monitor could rotate upwards, was great for ..things.

But nowadays, reading on mobile seems ideal.

if you find the right website, you’ll be free from the ads that cover up your browser. onemanga’s quite good.

They've got most things you'd wanna read. Anything missing is because of the translators not allowing rehosting (that's the case with Promised Neverland) or because it's only available from official English publishers.

Physical books usually, I prefer those. I follow a couple things digitally though. I just use the zoom function on the reader ap to make it bigger. You can do this by placing the thumb and pointer finger in a diagonal position on the screen and moving them apart diagonally. For a computer depending on the website you can use the scroll wheel on your mouse to zoom.

Read a decent amount online and physically. And I can say with complete confidence that physical is the best way to experience it

i prefer reading physical copies of everything - whenever it's possible at least.
but every now and then i use apps like manga rock to read manga online.
web archives also has a surprisingly large collection of older manga so sometimes
i download the pdfs for those and read them on my laptop as well.

I only read on my phone, you can easily zoom and stuff.
Also, I recommend getting a library card, I was very pleasantly surprised at my libraries manga shelves. You can also request any manga you want. it's a great reading physical manga for free ((:

I prefer offline versions, so I mostly download them legal or not. This way it's completely ad-free. As for reading, either on my phone or on my 40" monitor.

It's the more expensive option but physical copies of manga are my personal choice. The anticipation of flipping to the next page and your eyes naturally flowing over the pages is masterful especially with good panel work like Toriyama-sama's work

I read scanlations on my phone or borrow manga from my local library.
If I really like a series or I find cheap copies I'll buy the volumes.

With my eyes.

Being serious though, I use Mangadex for most things, and if a series is not available on it I use Free Manga Downloader to download it, and then Honeyview to read it.

My phone screen is too small to comfortably read manga on.

I usually read them in 67% zoom on one of manga sites
Well, depend on the manga I guess. Sometimes it's too big I need to zoom out them until the text reaches its minimum to be read. I'm fine with the black blank space.
I also download them, so I could re-read and zoom in or out them easily. Sometimes I transfer them to my phone if I want to read them.

When I first started reading, I used to read exclusively on web browsers. Now I only read manga on my phone. It's so much more convenient.

I use a tablet to read manga.
Reading on pc hurts my back after a while so it's better to use a tablet to read like a book.
It's efficient because most manga site is compatible with mobile.

The word elitist is stupid since it's just used by people who can't defend their favorite shows and use it on people who criticize their favorite shows.

I like to read manga on my phone or tablet so that I can lay in bed comfortably. I got my pop socket on my phone so I don't drop it on my face, which still ends up happening during my late night reading anyways as I'm dozing off. Haha. I usually use mangasee to read manga, but if it doesn't have it, I'll try mangadex. If they don't have it, I use my app, Manga Geek.

Usually on my laptop, I've gotten used to the screen being 60% empty (thanks adblock). If I zoom too much, it gets hard to go through tall panels. Sometimes I read on my phone but its screen is a little too small.
- ratings literally don't matter. (especially the top 10 or whatever)
- anime characters aren't real people.
- why do you have signatures on. lol

Digital manga I read on my phone with Moonreader, but I really prefer physical. If it's a manga that's only in Japanese and I can only get it online then I read it from just the chrome browser and use a side that has manga. I have ad-blocker too, so no ads getting in the way.
