The official website for the band Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas has announced that the bassist of the band, Kei, died on Saturday at his home from acute heart failure. The funeral was held among his family on Tuesday. Following the announcement, all of the band's releases and activities, such as the new album on March 25, will be cancelled. Future activities of the band will be announced later.

Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas is a band that currently consists of five members, which formed in 2008 in Kobe, Japan. Kei was a teacher to Mashu, one of the members who also played bass before he left the band in September 2013. Kei also sang the chorus and vocal parts after Sxun's departure in June 2018. Since he joined in 2013, the band has released five single CDs and three albums. The band performed opening theme songs of Kiseijuu: Sei no Kakuritsu, Hakyuu Houshin Engi, and Baki together with Kei. They also collaborated with Takanori Nishikawa for the ending theme song of Gakuen Basara.

That's awful. I did enjoy their music, so I hope the album comes out after all to share the music he helped create with the world. My condolences to the family and his friends. RIP

I've never listened to this band's music, but I can appreciate any musician.

This is the song that was featured in PES 2012 title:

That is sad, I enjoyed they work alot in Parasite Maxim but also Gokukoku no Brynhildr, they have some really nice albums too (believe they also worked on HxH 2011).

RIP and hope the band gets enough time to recover, the dude must have been really young, dying of acute heart failure...

Wow that really sucks. I wish all the best for his family, friends, and band mates. RIP
I'm no special story or anything. I'm just a manga that wants to be read, like you could find anywhere. But, if, for argument's sake, you were to adapt me into an anime series, it would certainly be....a tragedy.

I don't know what to say. FaLiLV is one of my favorite bands of all time and the fact that Kei is not with us anymore is crushing.
Rest in peace, you were amazing.

I tried finding how old he was, but cannot find it. That's why I didn't list it.

According to the description on MAL, the genre is "combination of electronica and metal. "

I didn't really like this band, but their music somehow fit perfectly where it was used. Hopefully they will not disband after this.

Wasn´t a particular fan of this band, but still this news are quite sad to hear since their work was quite popular within the community.

My condolences to his familly, friends and band mates in this always difficult moment; and hope that wherever Kei is, he is resting in peace now.

Rest in peace, mr bassist. Kiseijuu OP is still one of the addicting jrock head banger that I've heard.

Why isn't the OP of HunterXHunter mentioned? It was pretty good and it's more well-known than the likes of Baki and Hakyuu Houshin Engi.

The news is talking about Kei the bassist died. The main target of the news, Kei, wasn't involved when Hunter x Hunter ED was released. Kei joined the band in 2013 while Hunter x Hunter ED was released before then. It was another bassist (Mashu), who was involved when Hunter x Hunter ED was released, and left when Kei joined.

The band performed ... together with Kei.
