THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.

Pretty sweet, but nothing special. Would love to see such a short movie for my town, tho.
One Piece episode 914 & 915 were a mistake.

Just had a look at this ONA.

Very interesting, and sort of a commentary on the fact that apart from Tokyo, not everywhere else in Japan is thriving.
"The greatness of one's sorrow when parting is the evidence of the deepness of one's love, so if one fears sadness, one wouldn't be able to love anything."

It was a cute little short. I'm someone who happens to hate their hometown and will never return there save the occasional visit to my dad, but even with my own background dislike of where I'm from, I still appreciated this.

The twist about Akiko was not a surprise per se, but still very, very sweet.

Nice little short about honoring the past and embracing the future and yet another japanese promotion of living outside of overcrowded Tokyo (although you can say Saitama is still suburbs of Tokyo in a sense).

I would appreciate this more if not for the blatant confirmation of his grandmother, it was obvious anyway and one showing of the photos and bracelet in the last shot would be more than enough.

How could Souta not recognize his grandma, that guy doesn't love his family for sure or doesn't give an f?

Souka sure changed a lot judging by those images, I wish I knew it though. 50yrs is a long time man.

6/10.

I watched this for Oku Hanako's ED and was not disappointed. Things changed a lot in 50 years.
