You'd know how when Half-Japanese are born in Japan, they are well embraced, even in Japanese entertainment, sports and other fields of Japan. Those half-Japanese who we're born outside of Japan do really want to come and live in Japan, but struggle to adopt culture, equittes and behaviors. I remember on how Ariana Miyamoto was crown into the Miss Universe Japan, she receved an negative backlash for not being pure Japanese and that she didn't deserve the title. Also, in year later, Priyanka Yoshikawa, whosse her father is Indian, won the Miss Universe Japan again, she also got an backlashed for not being pure Japanese too. There are some racial issues still happening to Japan, but i hope racial additutes will change whitin in Japan in the next couples of years due to international marriage occuring in Japan and more mixed-race Japanese are born in Japan about 2 or 3% this year. We could also see some seiyuu or anime direction who are also half-Japanese that also broke the cultural barrier where anime/manga industry used to be for pure Japanese people. Japan needs diversity even more. (sorry for my poor English) |

However it can get you permanent residents to stay and live in Japan. I have few friends who are married to Japanese citizen and they only have permanent residents. If was not born in Japan or Japanese then good luck getting Japanese citizen. The Japanese government rarely gives people who was not born here or is not Japanese any citizen.
