| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- I really hope this will get subs at some point. So more people could go out of their way and watch this piece of Korean animation. Because it seems really promising and was really nice this far. Also the animation style was kind of artsy, what I really liked about it. Same goes for the character design. Edit: Well at least for the first episode. Cannot really say the same about episode two and the following ones... |

| Nice character backstory we have here. Poor 13. But other way she woudnt survive, since probably all ex-wifes and their daughters was killed. So who is the male son of her father? |

| As much as I would like to be immersed in this tragic backstory. How do they expect the audience to feel a greater level of empathy without showing us Thirteen's relationship with her mother. She's literally just there and nothing more. It would take more than just them being mother and daughter to pull on the heartstrings of many. IF the mother said even just 1 sentence of affection towards thirteen, I would see this entire relationship in a different light. Still, it's still a devastating backstory that Thirteen has, out of her sisters, she's the one that seems to hone her combat skill the most. But whether she could wield a blade or do nothing at all does not matter for her father as he would only trust a male to inherit his battle prowess. To make matters worse for some reason she and her mother left the safety of the clan's homestead and before long, she's assassinated with literally nobody helping them before it's too late. I do hope they bring out more of what we've seen in Thirteen's backstory towards the present events so that this backstory actually has a usable plot instead of it being just for the sake of having a tragic-backstory. |
