So I wasn't expecting Akane to be one of the baddies.

Her motivation for the first two episodes seemed straightforward enough:

However after that her goal started to change to:

Would you say I called judgement too early on that, and how do you personally think they'll handle her character in the remaining of the series?

I personally like to think that she'll be redeemed somehow. She just looks too much like one of the regular protagonists on the op and ed to me (expect for that one shot of her with glasses), plus she's cute so I wanna see her redeemed (I am waifu trash and I know it, lol). But what about you?

Even it turned out that everything is just a game and she had some kind of goal for a greater good, she's still sadistic and cruel. A lot of you nerds do love that "evil is cool" bullshit though, ESPECIALLY if she were to have crush on the MC, your perceived avatar. However, she clearly does not really care for him, but it is still not too late and you self-centered FOREVER ALONE NERDS are wiling to forgive ANYTHING if she joins your perceived FOREVER ALONE harem.

Regardless, there are sure to be plenty of nerds who love her cuz everything's gotta be about waifu. It is very clear why the creators decided to make her a cute girl.

She is cute though so she'll be good for hentai, as god knows Rikka is. God damn Rikka, and you aren't even from a waifu mobile game.

I think it's too early but I guess first expectations are everything to a lot of people. I've seen a lot of hate Rikka is getting because of her attitude towards Yuuta as well which I think isn't justifiable as of now considering we haven't gotten that much context as to what happened between the two of them prior to him losing his memory. Same with Akane, we really don't have a concrete explanation for her actions.

I would like her not to because, bullied or not, she's still a psycho, but after the last episode, seeing that

her to be redeemed is exactly what I am expecting.

yep she is redeemable seeing that she is literally god the creator of their (computer) world anyway and she is just being manipulated by a higher evil god

The OP makes it pretty clear that she will be whitewashed in some shape or form. I think the core of her personality looks pretty bad right now, but something twisted her, and there's easily some angle they can approach this to make her turn back. I wouldn't say she's past redemption; she just behaves like an immature tantrum-prone kid in elementary school.
