Too much Edge

Well so I've been reading a bit of Arifureta and even though the writting was not the best and even something cringey I but I still kinda enjoyed it so I tried to read Dungeon seeker because people online we're saying that they were similar but Jesus I could'nt even get pas chapter 4 (Of the manga not the light novel) because of how ridiculously Edgy it went, is anyone else sharing similar tought?

I mean yeaaah and noot really.

The only one thing that bothers me is that he seems he won't stick to his ambition and finish what he started.

The edge from being thrown to his death and being played like a fiddle is understandable. Then he's only purpose is to survive to get his revenge.
Yet all of that edge seems to roll to nothing. Because he has second thoughts
about it. Like , man up and stick to your guns or don't be edgy at all ಠ_ಠ.
