| This episode was revolting. I fucking hate bugs. It was a good one though; I don't get people here saying it was boring. This show keeps me engaged every episode. It was light and fluffy, but the characters are likeable enough and the setting engaging enough to make light and fluffy work. With this, Gridman, and Bunny Girl, this season has been really good. Goblin Slayer attracting the attention of all these females is a little too... anime for my sensibilities, but it's whatever; that's the only real grievance I have with what's going on right now. It's strange to me that Goblin Slayer is such a monotone, lifeless character yet it's explicitly that sort of singular focus that makes him interesting. Overall I find I like all of the characters though, more or less. Side note: the OP is my favorite anime OP in a while; actually, in the nondescript mire of traditional anime OP fare, it's the only one to even stand out for me in quite a while. |

| I'm glad they brought back Lizardman's love for cheese hahhah xD It's so obvs Long Ears likes Goblin Slayer. He's such a ladies' man lol ;) Goblin Slayer is so cute sometimes with the little goblin gags (even tho he's serious lulz) Receptionist's hair looks so good in this ep *0* so pretty~ Hope that treasure chest gold digging adventurer doesn't show up later as the bad guy :3 |
| So the Priest ranked up... That guy with the greatsword looked similar to Guts, he even got a similar hairstyle and scar on his face... This episode is basically the life of Goblin Slayer when there's not goblin slaying quest available. And speaking of Goblin Slayer... HAREM DETECTED!!! His childhood friend, the guild receptionist, the priest, and even the elf... What's next? |

| Pretty solid episode and progression, it does town down and up in terms of darkness from episode to episode which does feel a bit wonky. But well let's see what's next. |

| An amusing episode indeed with the return of the party and Elf Girl being girly all of a sudden which I'm not gonna lie It suits her just fine The priestess getting a promotion which is nice that's all that I have to say (still waiting for her name though when will it drop :thinking:) And that comedic duo party which brings amusement for the episode and asked for some tips on how to deal with rats in the sewers The receptionist having feelings with Goblin Slayer which I find so cute for her and I like it And the letter that Goblins Slayer got which it seems like to be a good build-up for the next episode |

| Well, wasn't really anything in this episode that caught a whole lot of my interest. But I liked that one part with the club. Gotta use anything these days to pass these lands. Ending to this was something tho, looking forward to what that will bring. |

| Since this episode was basically kind of a filler, I really hope it doesn't go into the full harem category with your typical will-they-won't-they bullshit. Right now, it only seems to be dipping its toes into the harem category. Let's hope it doesn't drown in it. I'll also just get this out of the way... none of the three "harem candidates" which include the priestess, childhood friend, the receptionist, and the elf, are good for Goblin Slayer. He lives in a different world from theirs. |

Graduated High School in May of 2022. Summer vacation has finally arrived. I have once again regained the power of a new anime fan, being able to watch multiple anime episodes in a day. Time to binge-watch every single anime I can into the night until college arrives. SADGE. SUPER SADGE... College has begun as of Monday, August 30, 2022, so you won't be seeing me much around these parks. See you on weekends, I guess... School me is back. Sigh! I'll at least try for one anime a day with all this course load. |
| Those giant rats reminded me of the ones from Dark Souls. They're so annoying and they hit so hard as well. Speaking of Dark Souls, Goblin Slayer kinda reminds me of the Knight of Astora. They also call some of the magic here "miracles". I have a feeling the author is also a fan of the game. Oh man, I wish I could get my hands on that candle. I'd smell it and then lick it. hehe So, the Goblin Slayer does make exceptions for the ladies. |

| In a way Goblin Slayer feels like the antithesis to Overlord. Overlord is filled to the brim with interesting characters and their intertwining stories, elevating the drama to blissful immersion. In Goblin Slayer it's hard to find even one likable character worth caring about. One doudemoii hito after another. A story filled with actual nobodies. The sorceress that hangs out at the guild is one such example. Aside from her meaningless presence that never surpasses cheap-gimmick status, her odd way of talking is characteristic of the writer trying to achieve originality by being utterly vapid and shallow. I want to cheer this anime on in its quest to be a coherent and functional story that you want to believe in and trust. No success so far. Edit: After reading a bit through this thread I realize the anime adaptation has probably slaughtered the story. What a shame. I will definitely check out the manga, and maybe even the light novel. I still feel there may be a good story buried somewhere below all the gross incompetencies of the anime adaptation. |
