Not about what made you start watching anime but really about what makes you continue!
Why are you still watching anime even until now? What makes you not want to stop or makes it hard for you to stop even if you ever have the thought of not watching anymore anime

For the same reason people who don't watch anime watch live action. Because it's entertaining.

There's always something new to see. Also, if I wasn't watching anime, I'd be reading books, watching live action TV, watching films, playing games, listening to music, or enjoying some other form of entertainment. Anime just happens to be the medium I enjoy the most due to its presentation and diversity in the types of stories and visual styles it has.

I watch anime and I watch films and the logic is the same for both. The more I watch, the more invested I am. More experience, more knowledge, more ability to interpret stuff in context, more layers, more possibilities for enjoyment. It goes that way with me. I guess that it is absolutely essential to learn how to pace yourself since your interest in the medium isn't always going to be the same.

Because I like the stories presented (which is also the reason I started in the first place).

People can get so creative with plots for their series. I love it.

Because I still have a shit ton of shows that I’m interested in and I can’t just leave them unwatched yknow. Besides, I’ve been into anime for 5-6 years now and I still enjoy it like I did when I first began. A great escapism and I love animation in general. Anime is fun.

Cause I'm having such a great time exploring this medium.

And I don't see a reason for me to stop as long as I keep having fun with it, especially since I've barely seen everything it still has to offer.

A few reasons actually
1. I can pick up an anime pretty quickly, not much else really keeps my attention apart from movies
2. I'm a fan of animation, I like to see the different styles used, it's inspired me to make an effort to get into art of my own
3. I'm here until the last loud thunk that confirms reaching the bottom after a slow painful tumble into the abyss, with a lazy and drunken effort to stop that may as well not be a struggle in the first place, as we all let out a broken and whimpering sigh that anime was indeed a mistake

I started for the giant robots, and got hooked at the crazyniess and off the wall stories, then got a giant infusion from some people while I was in a far off land, and then the internet took off, so I could watch as much as I wanted.

Now that it's mainstream though, my inner hipster says I should stay away from it all.

I've found that anime is my preferred medium of entertainment. There's so much you can do with animation, and Japan really brings out the charm of animation, in my opinion.

Anyways, I just enjoy and have fun with it.
Anime is an interesting medium to explore imo.

I enjoy watching anime still because I find there is so much more potential than live-action. Don't get me wrong, live-action can hold its ground but anime has a lot more room to expand on their stories. It's also a good "escape" from reality where I can put myself in a fantasy world where physics are not always by present, which leads to more entertaining and fun franchises. Animation is also a huge plus, I've always been astounded by animation and different styles, and changing the styles from the bright colored and red of NGNL to the the silliness/seriousness style of OPM to just the normal, still good looking style of DeathNote makes every series feel unique and special.

Each and every anime has something to deliver in its own unique often storytelling and artistic manner and this urges me to binge each and every single show and I wholeheartedly believe that there is a lot of variety in the anime industry so there is definitely something for everyone here. I find this to be very appealing and engaging as a viewer, and I don’t think any other media or form of entertainment can replace this as perectly as anime has done for me over the last 3-4 years now.

Personal reasons such as my fascination of art in general also play a vital role in keeping me engaged to experience the stories through the different forms of animated narration. It inspires and rekindles my love for art, in short. I’ve seen aplenty of other forms of live-action media, such as KDramas, Hollywood Movies, Chinese Movies and Bollywood Movies but they just don’t translate that fascination aspect of mine into light. I may be biased, but I would still gladly choose anime over any other form of media/entertainment currently present in the world. Another feature that I really enjoy in anime is the music, I really love Japanese music and the variety of anime soundtracks.

It’s become something irreplaceable now, as I have now become a complete Japanophine, to be frankly honest and I hope I can continue to enjoy and cherish this media for a long time coming!

Because they don't censored difficult question (sometimes), and SJWs are off here most of the time.
I like the freedom of exploring things, which I know there is some in the Western, but I find it more accessible in Japan, not only in the form of anime, but also manga and novel.

I feel like this is easy. I continue watching because anime presents various unique stories and characters. Whether it’s relating to a character, or being lost in a great story, anime is one of the most unique mediums out there. I feel like anime has a way of developing characters and stories that make us feel more connected to them in particular than anything else. I feel like the uniqueness of anime is why I keep watching, I love feeling the emotions that the characters feel, and there’s just such a depth to that you can’t get anywhere else.

If there had to be a reason, it'd be because anything is possible in anime. Same reason I read books, I guess. There's just some things that are impossible for Hollywood to create. That's probably why Live Action Movies suck...
