Like the title says, what does the Japanese anime community think about the rushed adaptation of Tokyo Ghoul Re? Are they okay with it?

There may be alot of viewers in japan watching or even enjoying the "rushed" anime season of tokyo ghoul re.

I expected alot from the anime. Anyone who read the complete Tokyo ghoul and Re manga expected the same. However, the moment i heard that tokyo ghoul re will be separated to two season each having 12 ep, i knew that the anime is commiting suicide.

Sui Ishida is an extremely talented and creative mangaka who gave the tokyo ghoul series a vivid imaginable life. Mostly all the arcs were imporntant and interesting.

But what did the anime adaptation do? They only damaged the greatness of the series by rushing. As if they were making the anime while needing to take a shit.

I discontinued watching Tokyo ghoul re around season 1 ep 4 because there was no proper development from the beginning.

they hate it too.... is what some guy from the net told me, but i don't hate it. I only hate Ygo Zexal because Yuma sucks and Yoshida failed to write.

P.S. this post felt like a half topic.

Does it matter what they think? If you don't like it, you don't like it and vice versa. I've seen people use that as an argument as to why an anime is bad, but it's just an awful argument. Their opinion isn't more valid than the western audience's opinion (or anyone else's for that matter).

Sorry if you didn't mean in it in that sense and just asked it out of interest, I've just seen a lot of people using the general opinion of the japanese viewers as an argument for why an anime is good or bad, so whenever someone asks what the japanese think, I always immediately think of that.

This was just some additional material for the Japanese manga readers. That's it.Shueisha didn't care neither did Ishida about the adaptation.

I mean it kinda does matter cause ratings are what studios go on to whether it's even worth continuing.

Yeah in that sense it does, but for ones's own opinion it shouldn't. I've seen plenty of people use it to invalidate another one's opinion

Eh, that is true. But when people do that, they are being stupid. No-ones opinion is truly valid, especially when to stuff which is entirely subjective.

Oh my lord. They rated it higher than 2.5? It’s honestly sad that the remake will never happen. And is the rushed adaption the best in Japan? I’m really curious on what the Japanese community thinks. What’s even more sad is that Pierrot is going downhill. They are taking so much interest in garbage anime like Black Clover and Boruto. On the other hand, they give no fucks about good mangas.

Look at the amount of ratings tho, the original had over 1400, whereas :re season 2 had just over 200
