| Give it some time, Utena becomes more interesting as the series progresses. I actually thought that the first episodes were so so yet ended up loving the anime as a whole and it is one of my top five titles. |

| I've seen the second arc of this series a million times because I own it but I've only seen the first arc once and I never finished the third arc. I'm in for a re-watch now, since I want to finally finish it. lol. (Especially since it's my favorite anime.) I love all of the symbolism in this series. I've never really liked Utena but I'm seeing her differently in this re-watch. I like when Anthy talks. I also like that Wakaba was waitin for Utena in the beginning, but at the end Anthy was waiting for her. |

| People have always commented on how good this series is and I thought i'd give it a try, now that the remastered version is available now is as good as ever. So far so good I really like Utena as the main character and is everything a main character needs to be, strong kind hearted and willing to uphold justice :D but wow their school blew me away, gigantic domes random huge staircases flying castles? im sure it will be explained soon |

| FINALLY~! I get a chance to watch this infamous show. (I love my friend for giving me a copy of her set~ *huggles friend*) I read 2 volumes of the manga a few years ago and the intro seems a bit different from the anime. However, it doesn't bother me. Utena is so badass~ <3 |

| I finally decided to sit down and actually watch this. First episode wasn't terrible, but not great either. I hear it takes some time to pick up, definitely looking forward to watching this series though. |
| Ok....freaky school consul cult go! So they pretty much duel for Anthy, and then she becomes their slave until someone else 'wins' her? The hell? I'm guessing Anthy doesn't get a say in this? Utena's cool though. |

| I'm picking this after hearing its "Millions time better than Star Driver" Utena is such a weird girl. This might actually get interesting. The remastered version of this show looks great when I stretch it with VLC. |

| heard about this show a lot but never started watching since it looks very shoujo after watching Penguindrum, decided to try this, so far in eps 1 i can say it is very interesting |

| I decided to watch this since Nozomi is streaming the first two episodes legally. Utena is badass and she wins Anthy in the end. Hope she treats her better than Saionji did. The girl who gave him the love letter should not get together with a douchebag like that. I mean he slapped poor Anthy for no reason practically. >_> |

| I know this may sound foolish, but I bought the Noizumi set without actually having seen the show because I've herd such good things about it and I gotta say so far so good on the first episode. I really like the design for the school and the forest. Well, onto the next ep let's hope I didn't spend my cash in vein (I don't see that happening I think I'll like this one). |

| I tried watching the anime and reading the manga some years ago; however, most of the symbolism went over my head, and I quickly lost interest. The art also bothered me I recently decided to give it another shot, and I'm so glad I did! I'm able to see it now for the amazing series it actually is. The first episode already has me hooked. I just hope Anthy grows her hair out soon, I'm not digging the short look on her. |
| Well, that first episode certainly throws quite a few things at you. A couple of crazy things happened and there were a number of concepts/terms that were introduced without any explanation. Still, the things I just mentioned make the series seem more mysterious and it was an interesting episode - plus, Utena's character seems pretty cool. I look forward to seeing and learning more about what is going on. |

| Man, I almost forgot how well directed this show is. The opening scene with the prince and Utena is probably one of my favorite starting scenes in anime, but even stuff like how Wakaba tilted her head and a tear slid down her face in the letter reading scene was incredibly well done. |

| Just got the set from my sister who highly recommend i watch it. Loved every minute of it 5/5 but i quite surprised she loves this show much when it has heavy lesbian themes(dont have a problem with it btw). At least thats i got from th 1st ep. |
| That OP was so unexpectedly good I had to watch it twice. Utena is very honorable and highly charming. She doesn't quite have elegance, but I think she'll develop it soon. It's a bit over-the-top, but it's done quite well. The camera work is great and I LOVE the style and dazzling nature of the whole show. For example, when Saionji drew the sword from Anthy, I loved the animation. It was beautiful. I've seen the weapon-drawn-from-person done before, but it always felt weird, yet not this time. I was impressed throughout the whole episode, what a huge surprise. I didn't even really notice the symbolism, which is fine by me. The execution of the show has already won me over. (Though the SoL vibe and Utena's interaction with the hairbun girl is a bit out of place.) I think I'm going to love this. <3 |
