This one wasn't that good, liked the little girl dancing with them though.
Am I supposed to care about the two that are only just warming up to it? I don't care about whatever their hang ups are supposed to be.

Cute episode, but not nearly as good as the first 2, this was just too much idol, too little zombie. The manager and Tae-chan saved the episode, or at least tried to.

Everyone talking about the CGI, ignoring the most important fact this episode: the legendary Tamada Yae is voiced by the legendary Kotono Mitsuishi (Usagi, Misato and many others)...

"The CG is awful"
What are these people talking about?

The CG has baptized this show as a true and proper idol anime.
I gave the 1st episode a 3/10 and the 2nd a 6/10.

The 3rd is a solid 10/10

This gets a thumbs up for the most part. That CG was...something. I really hope it's just for one episode, 'cause it looked really strange.

Gonna be honest and say that this episode was a little boring. I get they're parodying
Love Live!! but it's a pretty bland idea for an episode.

At least Tae made it more entertaining so props to that.

Making them zombies feels lke a complete aftethought, it's just an idol show now.
A very basic one. Pretty sure Love Live! is less basic than this.

And holy shit, I've heard something about the CG being bad, but this was utterly atrocious. They were pretending to be zombies while dancing, and I couldn't tell at first because of how stiff the animation was.

Between this and Inuyashiki, MAPPA, honey, you can't do this 3D thing. Leave this to Orange. Leave this to Polygon. Leave this to absolutely anyone else and don't touch it.

Dropping it next week unless it improves drastically.

PMSL on the 'Gerrilla' live joke. Miyano's a god here

One all nighter is more or less enough to put together a simple idol gig. Of course the quality would be low but it can be done. This comes from experience.

Too much seriousness for my liking. This kind of phony seriousness is what puts me off most idol anime(and sports anime)

Also there is very little chemistry evident between the girls(I can't make up any ships!), well it makes sense that a rag tag group of sensitive girls that met two days ago is not all chummy with one another but it doesn't help with the vibe of the show.

Sudden CG was sudden, but I thought it looked ok. Song was rubbish though

Franchouchou. Nice band name (what does it even mean?). Anyway even though their performance was a disaster, I actually liked it. Dance chronography was pretty awesome. That song was nice too. Glad to see Ai and Junko joining them later.
Btw Tae is the best zombie grill.

Chouchou is said in french to mean someone who is a person's fav, for example (he is the teacher's favorite person) is translated to (il est le chouchou de la maitresse)
But Fran, I'm guessing it's from Frankenstein?
They all feel the same adjust to the pain..like tears in the rain..

this one was weaker than the first two eps (there the real highlight were the performances), but I did get some laughs. Sakura in deep thought not noticing Tae spinning that carousel thing (what do you call that?) was freaking hilarious.

First two episodes were good parody but this episode definitely... wasn't as much of parody as I would have hoped. They didn't utilize the horrid CGI as well as they could have and the ending was legitimately sentimental.

The manager is consistently hilarious though and I'm still expecting some major twists that will keep the show great.

Well, that CGI was truly atrocious. But since I think it was used for parodic reasons, I won't see it as something bad. But yeah, it was terrible.

It was an ok episode but obviously, it wasn't nearly as funny as the previous two, that's for sure.

Also, Sakura being slapped for something positive she was about to say was so randomly funny xD

So my worries about the drop in quality is true afterall. If they keep the CG like this in the next episode, I'll drop this.

They're definitely taking the piss on other idol shows with that CG dance scene and people are just looking past it and complaining that it sucked. Seems like people can't understand parodies nowadays unless it's completely on your face levels of obvious.

And I can't help but think of Favaro every time the cop appears since this is a MAPPA show and they share the same voice actor. 'Tis a shame that Virgin Soul was a huge disappointment, but I digress.

I never thought I would end up enjoying this anime so much so I hope it keeps being funny until the end.

Glad to see someone has a good head on their shoulders. Took me a second to realize once I was done giggling but yeah the CGI is a clever commentary on the mass production of idol groups in Japan. It's a direct parallel from bad CGI found in Anime to the countless idol groups that come and go in Japan. Manufactured, generic, and in many cases very unappealing. I liked the first two better with it's more comedic tone and genre blending aspects but this one has it's merits as well.

Ummm.. not even sure what the issue was with those two, so it seemed forced for the sake of throwing some serious drama into the story. Otherwise, it was pretty average.

Well most of the time in idols animes they use the cgi only on stage. So that's why that's not really cringy : it's the stage setup.

Here they just became "magic idol bad cgi" in the street that's why it's looking so bad

But not even one joke on the song, while first was metal, and second rap. Here that's just normal idol, so yeah this episode is way less entertaining than the two others, and if zombie is just for the joke (Tae as the comic relief) this show will became less interesting than a serious idol anime since they're not taking the job seriously in this anime

And even the song was... uurgh. Their voices isn't perfect, think it will became a real idol show with training after this episode to make it better

I'm not gonna lie I got really tense when Sakura forgot the lyrics and I almost screamed when the other two girls joined the group, and the CGI is really good for once.

We finally got to see Koutarou in a more calm, collected and rational way than his normal screaming on the girls. (I'm talking about the scene where he talks to Junko and Ai outside of the training room and later in the van)

This show just keeps going on a beautiful rhythm.

Also the op is really good.

So the group is now called Franchouchou? Nice ring to it. Not to mention, the song was pretty cool. That CGI-animated dance was odd, but it worked. It didn't bother me. In fact, it was amusing. NOT in the negative way.

I also might say that this is my favorite show of the season. Perhaps a hidden gem, too. Yeah, i said it and i'll stick to the end. Need i say more?

Finally, i'm looking for answers regarding the first episode. Perhaps as the show advances, maybe i'll get them? We'll see.

This episode was really boring to me.

I don't find the hesitation/conflict of two former idols to be interesting at all.

"A zombie that doesn't dance is just a regular zombie." lol

I think they should've called their group Death Musume. It sounded cooler.

The plot was a bit contrived this time. They didn't really give any reason for why they had to rush their practice and perform the very next day. It's not like they booked a venue this time.

They have been laughing for 2 episodes of a lot of situations, and people now believe that the CGI is not parodying other show even with the drama? People can be really stupid when commenting.

I HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATE idol shows, and I'm not a fan that this show is starting to move in the "idol" direction with it's music and weird CG dance segments. Yet, its characters and comedic charm enable me to continue giving it a chance. I guess we'll see if Zombieland Saga can keep that up.

Good episode!
A lot of CG is used but this is more closer to an idol performance!
They immediately established a group name Franchouchou!
Why is Tae the irregular one of them Zombie gurls?!?
5/5.

i love the cgi dunk on love live and other mainstream idol shows.
weakest episode on the laugh front, but i honestly feel like it was intentional to get that true 'idol show melodrama' going

~ * Theory Time! * ~

Tae used to be a gloomy goth girl who was really into horror movies and emo music. She already woke up with the rest of them, but she always had fantasies about being a zombie, so now she is just acting out the part for the fun of it.

this episode still had some pretty funny moments BUT it wasnt quite as good as the first two. im sticking around and waiting for the next one as it will probably be the episode that gives us a proper indication on whether or not this show will continue being weird (in a good way) without turning into a regular idol anime. i'm also hoping that CGI was satire since everything else so far has been nicely animated and this anime seemed pretty self-aware when it mocked itself before. we'll have to wait and see how the rest of the show goes to figure that out. fingers crossed

I just hope it doesn't turn generic from here on.
