Does anyone know why they split the show like this ?
The next arc is my favorite from the manga so I was really looking forward to this.
Go read the One Punch Man manga please, this awful adaptation by JC Staff is a disgrace.

Most likely to make sure the quality stays the best as possible and perhaps so that they dont catch up to the source material to quickly and can instead keep making more seasons without worrying.

have you seen how average to below average the animation quality of this season even though its dialogue heavy? they are having production schedule problems for sure that the animators do not have enough time to animate it in better quality and because the next arc will be action heavy then this is good news really instead of them making the action scenes having bad animation

Honestly, I was a bit shook when I looked and it was set as 'Finished Airing' I thought S3 was gonna be 24 episodes, but I guess it's going on a seasonal break and the 2nd cour of Season 3 will come out next year... Mama is shooketh to the core.

You shouldn't be disappointed. It's already amazing that they released such a well-animated season only a year after Season 2 ended. It would be too much to ask for 24 episodes. It's better for the show to take the time it needs.

Dude, the source material is like 36 episodes ahead. Go and read the manga if you haven't. Its not about the quality.

Isn't the pace too fast in part 1? Do you think that part 2 won't catch up to it?

Most likely planned from the very start by the production committee. Good. Let the staff rest and allocate resources for the next cour. I'd rather have split cours than production issues and delays.

They were running on fumes at the end. They literally had 52 key animators. This is a pretty telling sign that if they didn't split this season they would've ran into productions issues and most likely the animation would suffer from it.

They should just call it season 4 instead of season 3 part 2 since they are airing it far apart from each other.

I didn't expected this to happen, It would be normal if I knew they are going to air only 12 EPS from the begining.

so damn mad tbh

True i also want it to be as good as possible but I was simply disappointed by the fact that we ll have to wait a little longer.

I don't know if the break this long was planned from the beginning. In the past months offical soruces have been kinda contradicting each other in some ways when it comes to the length of this season.

But anyways, this break being planned or not, I think we should be glad, seeing how much the production was troubled. With having ~15 animation directors for last two episodes and all that. If they had continued with this pace, who knows how RtS would have looked.

The wait won't be so bad. At least it won't take another 2-4 years for another season. Spring 2019 will be stacked with: MHA, OPM, and AOT. There's a lot to look forward to haha.

True, all shows I am looking forward to ll come out in early 2019. I wish they had put some of these highlights in this season, cuz it really pales in comparison.

It's sad indeed, but seeing everyone saying it'll be the best arc etc. I guess the wait is alright if it's adapted perfectly.

Well... the recent number of staff members didn't look good from a production standpoint but damm. Couldn't they see that they had this problem and delay the whole season? Or at least the first cour til this Winter? Now they give a 6 month time between parts? WTF? This only makes them look greedy because they thought they could do S2 and S3 with a 1 year difference. They couldn't so they change the designs and now they break this in two. If they are giving it such long break better not use any CG in the next arc or everyone is gonna get disappointed.

6 months!? That is obscene. No, you don't get to pretend this is the same season when they're 6 months apart. The last season was just as long as the 2nd season. This is season 4.

Where is the money going... How many recap movies were there? The CG quality is atrocious, the length of each season is a joke, not to mention the amount of time between s1 and s2. I know s3 is out a lot quicker, but AOT is among the most popular series in history and has been for nearly 5 years now.

MHA is moving out with season 4 with longer seasons.

SAO has gotten a 4 cour season 3 with probably the highest quality animation, I've ever seen in anime.

Like come on, AOT, getting shorter and the quality is going down.

First Xebec and now WIT, what's going on with the studios owned by Port IG?

36 chapters isnt much for a shounen show tbh, i thought it would be like 50-70+

The SNK production committee are the most annoying people, I hate them. They fucked with us on S2 (remember the last minute surprise apology?) and now this. It would be fine if they let us know these things asap, but they always wait until the last minute, like making bad news a surprise announcement will make it any better. Fuck, they’re so irritating.

The difference is that it is a monthly manga not weekly, snk has on average 45 pages per month, while weekly manga series has like 18 pages per chapter weekly.

@GoldNautilus

I agree that it would be better if they could tell us from the get go, then leaving us in the dark only to tell us about the bad news after the end of the season.

Sorry to be offensive, but are you platinum retarded?

If anything its good they are taking their time, otherwise this would have a production quality as shitty as Overlord

people who think WIT ran out of money are retarded

what happened is that there's just straight up not enough people who can do quality work in Japan, for the money studios are asking for, and what happens is that the talent pool is greatly reduced and studios have to compromise/offshore work to other studios

so when any delays on other projects happen, they affect the studio that commissioned the work as well

I was expecting a month break when it was first announced, so this kinda sucks. Shouldn't even bother with the Part 2 tag, it's another season entirely.

well I guess I'm just very impatient but understandable, they did have that terrible storm not too long ago so they do need some time.

it's impressive how aot is still popular, even making its fans wait for like the longest time
