Half of the episode felt like needless shock factor. Pfft, why would you need to establish a reason for us to care about the characters, so the tragedy would actually mean anything? What I'm trying to say that, I think there's definitely a subjective line for everyone regarding graphic content, and I'm guessing it often lies wherever one feels like said content stops having anything to further a plot point, and only serves to cater to people's base desire to see someone get fucked, literally or figuratively. To me, Goblin Slayer has not hit that point, but again, that is a subjective point and I wouldn't denigrate someone for disagreeing with me, just as I wouldn't want to be personally attacked for actually thinking Genocyber is worth watching as long as you know what you're getting into.

Freedom of expression goes both ways. You want to make an offensive show? By all means, go out and do it, but people have an equal right to voice their discomfort. From there, you can choose to A) disagree with them, or B) ignore them, which is what I do for... Most other shows (Unless it really get's to me and I feel the need to respond). However, silencing people should never be an option.
