I watched all of Danganronpa's first season in one sitting. Wasn't that good of an anime but I liked it. Also did good when Danganronpa 3 rolled around.

but the one Im pretty proud of is my pokemon marathon.

I watched every Pokemon tv episode, special, movie and ova from the original pokemon to the end of the latest completed series at the time: Pokemon XY&Z. It took me 71 days to do this.

well, everything except Pokemon XY: Sora no Hahen because can't find it anywhere

Holy shit.

Idk if you can even fathom the amount of respect I have for you.
That marathon was over a year ago but even now when I think back about it, it makes me feel exhausted.
It's not like it was a bad experience because I had A LOT of fun watching Pokemon. + I freaking love XY/XY&Z
But.. but many of the episodes were so similar earlier on that it sometimes felt I was just watching the same episode 100 times in a row xd

I finished 800 episodes of one piece in 12 days. And read almost 850+ chapters of the manga in like a week or so.

800 episodes * 20 minutes = 16000 minutes = 266.67 hours
12 days * 24 hours = 288 hours

Apologies for being a stickler, but even with the amount of skip-able recap in every episode, that seems to be pushing it a little bit.

2x speed?

For me, finished FMAB on a three day vacation from work. Was a enjoyable time but will never do it again.

I totally feel you. I grew up watching Pokemon and stopped sometime during when Battle Frontier was airing (in the US). I was a kid, I loved Pokemon to death (and still do), but even then I understood that almost every episode followed the same exact formula. But I mean it's not like I watched Pokemon for the plot. It's all about the Pokemon <3

I finish most anime in one sitting.

The only exceptions are:
  • Super long series like Detective Conan, or
  • Stuff I'm following weekly while airing.
  • (basically, just situations where it's impossible)

Same with manga - I'll read all day until I:
  • Reach the end,
  • Am all caught up with latest chapter,
  • Run out of energy and fall asleep, or
  • Realize it's time for work and I forgot to sleep.

Speed for Fillers x3, for recap episodes x2, almost 6 minutes of recap, op per normal episode, almost 17-18 mins per episode.

Did nothing but Sleep, eat, watch OP, repeat those 12 days. Skipped the first two on more than many an occasion.

The fastest was Angel Beats when I rewatched it in 5 hours to answer this thread.
I thought it was worth giving a good answer so I rewatched it. Never skipped the opening and saw the ending thrice (My Song, Ichiban no Takaramono and last episode).

No apologies for being another stickler, but speed-watching isn't really watching, and thus invalidates your claim. Nice try though.

You're never too old to watch anime.
If I ever stop watching anime, check my pulse I'm likely dead.

I marathon most things I dont watch airing. Not some of my first entries but over the years definitely. a 12 EP show is roughly 4 hours, so 2 movies. Since I watch them on my tablet, being-x forbid I remember watching anime on a small smartphone, I can watch them anywhere I want and while doing other stuff. Like eating. 1 or 2 episodes for breakfast, same for dinner. The rest shuffled in between. And while in bed.

A one cour show a day is pretty standard now, not on work days though because sadly the day only has 24h and I already dont sleep enough.
But on a weekend double cours are easy to do in a day as well.

I specifically remember watching Code Geass season 1 in one day, I was so hooked I watched all episodes, got barely any sleep that night. Good times.

I dont read much manga, but I read BLAME! one evening. Thats why I prefer anime, I read way too fast.

I used to marathon absolutely everything. I'd watch 20+ episodes on an average day.

The longest example I can think of is watching both seasons of Code Geass in one sitting.

These days I find it hard to watch more than 2 episodes in a day.

In my case was Gantz (Manga) I finish it on a weekend.

Gantz literally blew all my expectations away. I was so hooked that I finished all 383 chapters in a little more than 9 hours straight, no breaks. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. It's the only manga that I finished in one sitting

Other than that, I've also finished most 8+ of my anime's in one sitting.

For an anime, it had to be Natsume Yuujinchou. There has been two seasons since I binged it, but at the time I watched season 1-4 in less than two days. I only took a break to sleep.
As for a manga, it took me like a day and a half to read the entirety of the first Tokyo Ghoul manga.

Avid binge-watcher here. I finish a lot of stuff really shortly, and in the past it has bitten me in the ass before. Burn out is incredibly easy.

Two series that come to mind when we're talking about finishing in a short time though, are Beck and Re:Zero. Both finished in a day, with roughly the same episode count.

I've yet to get into manga, so I don't really have an answer for that. I'll get into it one day, but it's a bit daunting, and I'm not looking forward to learning all of the "sounds." With that in mind, I'll probably start with some light novels.
