I tend to usually watch seasonal anime with my partner and then we both have discussions after regarding episodes. Anime that has already aired i tend to watch alone unless it is something we both want to watch together.

I think it's always more fun to watch with a friend. You can always discuss the episodes right after you finish watching them, and there are theories flying around.

Nah, I'd like to watch anime with friends, family or someone else. Watching series alone doesn't affect how much I enjoy them though.

Yeah, I mostly watch alone. It's just something I think I enjoy on a really personal level, and so it's weird to try to have that 'personal' connection while sitting with friends. I kinda feel as if I'm supposed to react more strongly than I do, or that each of us is kinda judging how the other person reacts and taking hints from the other as to what to say about it. Not to mention when you watch something cringey by yourself, you kinda just roll with it. Whereas watching something that makes you cringe with other people you all feel obliged to call it out instead of letting it be. Not to say I can't watch anime with other people, but that's usually reserved for comedy or slice of life anime, when strong reactions are kinda warranted. Or movies (usually still in theater) when no one feels obliged to react openly because you're not supposed to

My sister started watching Anime a week ago.
She started with OPM and she liked it a lot.
She claims, that anime was very good and fun to watch.

So i'm no longer alone in my family who watch anime!

I primarily watch it alone. Sometimes I watch anime with my sisters and its fun. I prefer to watch it in private the first time tho, so I usually just watch something with them if I've already seen it.

I've watched multiple animes with a group of friends. Usually the worst one we can find or the best one we can find.

I tend to watch most of my anime alone. Though I do really like watching with someone else it just makes for a nice setting. But when it comes to the actual anime I prefer to have already seen it if we are going to be talking because otherwise it's going to annoy me trying to read subtitles or just watch in general while trying to keep a conversation going.

I tend to watch anime alone, but there are times when I enjoy showing a friend a series that I really enjoy or watching a new good series with someone. I've never watched anime with anyone other than my close friends, so it's enjoyable for me.

Usually I watch anime alone because I can't always find somebody willing to watch it with me.

Alone. But that's not just for anime. Whatever I am watching I like doing it alone with no distractions. Otherwise, I can't focus.

I'd almost always want to watch anime with someone, but I don't really have any friends or anything. I used to watch anime with my brother/cousin back then.

alone, because some scenes have gore or sex-related in them. For me, when those scenes shows and one of my friends or family saw it, porn will be easier to explain than this.

Mmm yep, it's something that I prefer to watch by myself. However if I did watch it with someone else I wouldn't really mind so long as they stay silent while we are watching it...

No, I don't wanna watch alone. Alone sucks!
I like to watch anime with my girlfriend.

I used to watch anime pretty frequently with one of my ex girlfriends, as well as with a few of my college friends... but that was in the past when I wasn't such a recluse.

Now my cat just meows at me if my laughter or sobbing is too noisy. It's basically like talking to a person, save for a few minor details.

I don't have anyone to watch with. Maybe if my brother would try one of my recommendations for once >_>

95% of the time I watch alone, the other time I watch with my brothers. We watch together the shows we consider the best or at least great. Like JOJO !

Well is not like i have much of a choice ahaha..aha.. i am lonely :(

OT: Well some movies and comedy series i think can be fun to be watched with family/friends as long is something that can appeal to everyone, but generally i think anime is better experieced alone abstracted from some possible distractions or other people comments that might affect your enjoyment.

I prefer to watch it alone because my brother tends to slow me down more often than not, but I’m always down to watching a show with him nevertheless. I haven’t yet watched an episode, let alone a show, with a classmate or friend, so I don’t know really know how that’s like.

I like to share my opinions of shows obviously and there are a few casual anime watchers in my school who I talk to about such things but on rare occasions really. I’m not necessarily a very secretive person in this regard, it’s just that not many people I know are into anime and manga sadly. Hence, I do not bother to even push my interests or analysis of certain shows to them.
I second this comment. I like to watch anime alone however its no secret to people who know me that i am an anime fan. The only time i put my input on a series is when somebody asks me directly otherwise i wont share my experiences. fyi oddly enough i still dont like my family seeing me watch anime XD

Depends on a lot of circumstances. TV series, alone unless it's short and we plan to get through it in one sitting or I've already seen it and am sharing it with others, since I don't want to have to wait to continue until we can get the group together again. Movies, I'm fine watching those with others. I find group watching can be lots of fun for certain series like action or comedy anime, but there's definitely some series where group watching can take away from the experience like dramas and thriller anime.

All that being said, I generally do it alone since I don't usually have that group to watch with, but if I ever do, I'm not adverse to it

It depends on a show I guess? And much better if he/she is not annoying like he/she can give comments to the show that we're currently watching but asking questions to me or whatever kind of conversation is no-no for me.

I mostly watch anime by myself but I've watched more than a few shows with my sis too (Steins;Gate, all SNK seasons, Toradora, the 3 kizumonogatari and others I can't remember off the top of my head). I'd watch even more but A) we're both busy pretty often and B) I like anime more than she does, so I usually can't wait for her timing to finish watching something.

Normally, yes, but my older brother got interested in BNHA (I had already watched up until s2 by that point) so I re-watched it with him. When s3 came out, we both watched it together. So yeah. Now I feel obligated to watch BNHA with him. Aside from that, I do watch anime alone.
