I go to uni and always have my little laptop with me. I don't like taking notes with paper and pencil. The professors speak so fast, that my handwriting becomes a mess.

I usually write down the stuff that's written on the board. If i feel like the professor is going a bit to fast, I just write the most important parts or keywords.

My notes are sloppy and unorganized. After a while, I just get tired of having to write so much and don't care to put in effort to organize my notes. I like copying from the board since I can't remember a lot of what the teacher says in a short amount of time.

I don't.
I never took notes, because they always uploaded the powerpoints or handed out print-outs with a summary.
Also, I just watched anime during classes anyways lmao.

Seems like your problem is you didn't build a habit to place the bottom of the letters on the bottom of the line with only g and y and p dropping below it. Unless you only don't do that when rushing which would be understandable.

I miss my doodling.

i haven't consistently been good at keeping within the lines for years, that's something that extends back to middle school when my writing was clunky a f

those are too neat for me!

I tend to take notes digitally 80% of the time because I am a slow writer
I always use pen instead of pencil when I take notes because its more visible for me to see those black ink
I use highlighter occasionally and I like to list things and draw diagrams if I find words to be abstract

mmm depends on the subject but I usually still hand write my notes, typing them tends to throw me off of focus with the internet being readily accessible. Same goes for when I get home and have to read them off my laptop, I'd get easily distracted.

I bring my oversized laptop to school and type out notes on Google docs; having all of them arranged into respective subject folders and topics. It's just easier for me to keep work organised that way and pull it out when I need to.

Though I still do handwrite time to time so that my handwriting doesn't get sloppy, and I need the practice for my written exams (Being a Psychology and Literature student comes with a lot of painful writing).

An A4 notebook and a comfortable pencil is enough for me. The professors usually talk very fast so the speed of my handwriting is top-notch but the quality of it well, I rewrite all the notes in pen after I return home or during lunch breaks. And sometimes sell copies of them to others when they don't pay attention, hehee

It's better this way.
A little lonelier,
but better.

i write on a small notebook during classes, and rewrite them all pretty and color coded back home on individual pieces of paper and stick it into folders. i find that rewriting's a good way to revise and stick info into your memory, which is helpful as someone who doesn't study until either cramming the night before or wings the test completely.

Yeah I have a bad habit of writing too many notes, which causes studying for tests to be more difficult because of all the excess stuff. But I guess it's better to have too much than too little.

Furiously writing in my notebook until my hands cramp up, cause my Chem professor literally lectures for like 2 hours straight. Pretty sure I’ve mastered speed writing at this point and should compete or something. If this keeps up, I’ll probably need a carpal tunnel release..

Pencil and paper. I don't get why people use pens. If you make one mistake, you're going to have ugly scribbles in your notebook. Plus the ink bleeds through the paper a bit.

Messy notes drive me crazy.

I don't take notes because my handwriting gets crappy and lazy. These days I just create flashcards with Anki and then do a once per day flash card review which easily allows me to ace the multiple choice but a bit shallow because I'm a zombie that just memorizes info and doesn't play with them enough to create deeper original insights

I used to always take notes on everything... and then this semester came around and my professor is more like, "We don't have time for note-taking. Just practice". I'm like still trying to take notes and she's like, "Get on with it". I'm just not used to that, you know? My whole life has been spent taking notes.;;

When I used to take notes like last semester, I'd write slow and sloppy-- but make no mistake, it was as fast as I could write. I'd struggle to catch up with the notes I was writing... so much so that you'd often see a sentence that suddenly stops because I didn't catch everything before the next slide came up.;;

I have a photographic memory so if I can't remember something I've read it means that I've never read it. That's why I ignore everything the teacher said (when I was in school) and just read the subject myself so I could take mental notes.

Whenever I had to take notes at school they were messy, rushed, and total shit. But when I take notes about something I actually care about and have a lot of time, I do neat bullet points with black writing and different coloured accents for each point. Like squiggly underlines or colouring in the bullets. I have a lot of cute gel pens on my desk just for this kinda thing.
