I honestly think that the movie’s ending was just the perfect ending really. After all, the movie is called ‘Your Name’ and the main characters uttering those exact words in the end does give the name some actual purpose.

If I were to end it, though, it’d probably be all happy and lovey-dovey. Lol, I’m not one cut out for directing shows.

The ending was good. So was the art. But the plot, I wouldn't even notice if it was removed.

I would have ended it with them both committing suicide or dying in some way because at least it would make the ending of that story have more impact than the generic happy ending.
