| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- First episode preaired today on Gyao today. https://gyao.yahoo.co.jp/special/tokyoghoul_re/ We got reintroduction of some very noticable characters like Arima and even Rize. We see a bit of her past which I believe could be very important this season. The episode didn't waste much time on showcasing Arima and his abilities too. Still very badass as ever. Oh and can't forget Ayato either. He didn't waste time making his presence. |

| Besides the crappy animation and story adaption, we have much Eto service in the first two episodes. Better than nothing, i guess? |
| Did they seriously skip a whole arc? They are about to cram a lot of content into 12 episodes. Really hope Tokyo Ghoul gets a better adaptation, one day. The voice acting was great, but the story is a mess. We didn't get to see much of the black reaper. I really wanted to see him do all the things he did in the manga. Does any of the anime-only viewers even remember Sachi? He appeared in season 2, and fought with Kaneki. He was supposed to have a much longer scene. They showed Amon's face as if it's just normal that he'd be alive after everything that happened to him. I am not really sure if Mutsuki has been captured yet. They made it really confusing. Hope this isn't the real episode. Like, I hope we get to see a proper version when it actually releases. When the episode was almost over, I realised there were no subtitles. Apparently, I can understand spoken anime Japanese. lol! |

Me, watching the first episode of the second season of Tokyo Ghoul:re...  4:50 minutes ahead in the episode and I can already tell Pierrot completely fucked it up, this will be painful to watch. |

| Did they skip a whole arc and just they showed us just a few minutes? LMAO. At least the animation is good. The pacing is fast, very fast, one of the most fastest episodes that I've ever seen in my life lol. |

| There we Go Again Rushing things. This episode "Adapted" almost 10 manga chapters into 1 episode (Skipping a ton of shit abviously.) Right now it looks like it could be decent but I doubt it since they want to adapt the rest of the manga in 12 episodes. I don't know if they are going to show the other arc that is supposed to be going on right now later of if they are gonna skip it. Wouldn't really be surprised if they just skipped it. |

| Felt a little lost, but still a dope episode... Is Rize still alive or were those flashbacks, I assumed it wasn't a flashback since Shachi had grown out his beard and 'tache. And is kaneki kaneki, or is he still a combination of haise and kaneki now; alternatively, is playing into the role of Haise. Pity we didn't get the new OP and EP for the season in this preview episode -so I can't wait for the new season to come into full swing as I hear that it will be one from TK (ling tosite sigure) Edit. TK's OP was very underwhelming considering all the hype I had for it, it seemed to be intent in paying homage to the first season OP... At least the tracks title seems relevant "Katharsis" (catharsis), it means to purge especially in terms of emotions -does that mean kaneki is going to purge all he know of sasaki Haise or... I can't wait. Really it was the random screams that put me off of this new OP; but at least the new ED sounded good |

| I've been slacking greatly in terms of reading the manga, as I planned to have finished before this season started (instead I'm still on like chapter 35). Seeing people say they skipped an ENTIRE arc.....just wow, I'm speechless. When you think this atrocious adaptation couldn't get any worse, Studio Clown says "hold my sake." I had the absolute lowest expectations for this anyway, but that's still disappointing to hear. As for the episode itself, it definitely felt confusing and you can tell there was no coherence in the story. From where last season ended to now, it really does feel like a whole bunch of stuff was left out. One thing's for sure, this show never wastes time jumping right into the action. Update now that the show has officially begun: The OP is great. Thank you, TK, for providing us with what will probably be the one good thing about this season. |

Technically speaking they haven't skipped it, just showed it in more condensed way :P |
