| To me, Accel World was far more entertaining. The AW's main character and the main girl were also quite more likeable than SAO's. Neither of them struck me as being extraordinary, but the enjoyment factor and characters are definitely things I care about, and on thoses, Accel World>SAO. |

| Accel World catches a lot of hate due to the atrocious character design of the MC, but if you can get past that it's a pretty good series. That said, SAO is still better. At this point I feel like people are just trying to fit in with "elitists" by shitting over a very popular mainstream series. I don't know why there is a need to keep talking about SAO and why the thousands of self-proclaimed critics believe it to be a bad series. We get it. No one is making threads about it being good. So at this point it's just a pointless echo chamber. |

| Nah, to start i think if the protagonist is a fat loser, he must be an incredible and funny pervert fat guy, not a chubby crybaby like Arita, but that sick loli Yuniko is so cute. The plot, games and characters, i prefer SAO, although i think they force the romance between Kirito and Asuna too much. |

| Is the massacre of Nanking better than the Holocaust? Nah, furreal, I dunno, I personally found SAO to be more memeworthy and easier to sit through. Doesn't mean that it's anything but shit. Accel World is a totally different disaster, but the OP was kinda catchy if I'm remembering it correctly. Anyone can enjoy these shows to their heart's content, but I think most people would come to the consensus that these shows are total trainwrecks either way. This is what matters in the grand scale of things. It's like choosing between Logan Paul and ... Justin Bieber? |

| I see them as being on more or less the same level. Neither are terrible, nor great Both have solid first cours and annoying second cours. Both have likable girls Not interested in the sequels to SAO, marginally interested in AW's. We'll see when that elusive AW S2 does get released |
| idk, there's so much more material adapted from SAO than from accel world that it's hard to say as an anime only watcher. After season 1 of SAO ended I'd also have said accel world is better, but SAO does show signs of improvements over time and I have no idea how accel world went on. I can say that I prefer the characters in accel world tho. |

| Sao is better than Accel World. At least with Sao I did like the first arc and the GGO arc but outside of that it's below average series. It could've been a show about a game of survival, but eventually reduced to harem/ecchi shenanigans. But AW it was just that right from the get go. I only gave it a 4 bc "hey at least it showed that even fat boys can get harems" take that out and it'll be a 3 |

The character introspection, dilemma and resolution is much more compact and impressive in Accel World. It has the better story, tbh. However, I find SAO is more entertaining because I find the characters more entertaining. Plus, I found some things more relatable when it comes to the mmo mentality. I can stand a so-so story if the characters are likeable, which is why I like SAO more. |
