Persona 5 the Animation Episode 24 Discussion

Oh boy, dealing with another threat at the Sae's palace...

Not sure I can trust that guy who claims to be related to Futaba though. He just seems a bit shady. Meh, wasn't really an exciting episode. I didn't even feel the suspense of it. I think there's one more episode left?

Either way, this show has been really underwhelming.

Casino?

So detective guy's code name is crow.

Dark side of police lady appeared on her own. She said to find her at another floor, which needs a permission.

They went back for now to set a plan. Gambling needed?

A warning note about Aoi-chan's character committing crime? And the cafe owner has it?

Someone, later revealed to be her uncle who doesn't treat her well, visiting and wants Aoi-chan's character using the money to tend her.

Cafe owner keeps making her and her mother's favorite curry in order to get her out.

Detective guy also cares about her... and he revealed that he was born from father and mother not lawfully together?

Uncle has debt and treats her as "stuff".

He sent the official. The cat called her and tell her to say her truth. It seems like the official knew the truth ahead of time, and not just blindly believe what her uncle said.

Cafe owner suspected something between them, he would hide the fact for them, though. That solved that case.

Detective guy always win chess, but he said main guy improves.

Gambling went well, too, it seems.

The police lady used the word "betray" so that she can get the truth quickly (and time is up soon).

I thought this was the final episode for some reason...

Anyway, it wasn't an interesting episode at all, same as most of the episodes the only thing I found about it was the soundtrack.
The suspense was boring, no feeling of mystery or thriller.

2.5/5 I always liked the atmosphere of the series (probably because of the soundtrack) and while there were some good moments, it's sometimes just boring.

Fabricating evidence to frame the thieves huh just as expect from corrupt adults. Funny how Sae see's the courts as a casino though. Sakura's find was quite a surprise but sure ended up affecting Futaba's performance in the casino. The uncle sure treated Futaba like trash though and he is a classic jerk. But Futaba saving Sojiro by revealing not just her painful past but also what changed in her life was pretty heartwarming and dealt with her concerns nicely. Homestretch now then.

They changed some stuff from the game.

Also what a sad life Akechi had ... joking hes a cunt still.

Yeah, they did change a little stuff but we most got through a bit of the casino and then Sakura/Sojiro's Social Link.

Sojiro is such a good Dad. :(

Nothing too crazy or eventful happened in this episode, but it was nice to see Futaba share how she truly feels about Sojiro.

Now I'm wondering what are the rumors the inspectors know... What was inside that yellow envelope?

Oh my, I liked this one, the writers made some nice choices again, using Futaba and Soujirou's situation to show a bit of Akechi's social link was really smart, they fleshed out three characters at the same time, and it worked well. It's also interesting that their sad life-situation as orphans was similar, but Futaba had Soujirou, and Akechi had no one... Well, even the little detail of Morgana being the one to call Futaba on that scene was nice too, and I just love the OST from Sae's Palace, "The Whims of Fate", the truth is also almost out in the open!

Meh episode

Absolutely loved what transpired between Futaba and Sojiro... Her acknowledgement of his being her dad, well and truly brought a tear to my eye. Especially after that creep a-hole uncle pulled what he did. Scumbag.

All in all, that made this episode worth watching, to me.

Uncle just pulled a Neymar over there i rate this episode 10/10 for it.

It was decent. But now, I'm really feeling the major lackluster vibe that this show is providing.

This episode was a mix between Sojiro's confidant and Sae's palace. They add more Ren and Akechi interactions.

'He made curry' XD

'He made curry.' That certainly broke the ice of a tense interrogation scene with Sojiro. Nicely done, Ren. =D

Although the Phantom Thieves have started Sae's palace, a decent amount of the episode was focused on Sojiro's confidant and his woes with Futaba's uncle. Personally, I think the producers did a good job in implementing this confidant focus alongside the palace progression overall.

And, of course, Futaba's smile/grin is something that needs to be protected at all costs. It's just so pure and innocent! ^_^

They changed a bit about how they received the 50,000 coins to proceed to the next level of Sae's Palace, but I think it was really nice how they tied that in with Sojiro's story line.

The part where sunset bridge begins to play as both Ren and Futaba call Sojiro a great guardian. I remember that making me choke up in the game, and it had the same effect here. Seriously cannot stress enough how much I love these characters.

The couple of upcoming episodes will be great.

It seems this is the only episode that has a good pacing and not it feels rushed.

As I expected since the beginning, it's impossible to animate P5 fully with only 24 or 25 episodes no matter how rush it is.

We're going for pancakes now.

I'm not anymore interested on this anime. I'm so bored to watch the remaining two

Why can't I find the full version of "Autonomy" anywhere? As a matter of fact, where is the entire OST for this show?! That's really the only thing this show has going for it.

Wow we definitely aren't covering the entire game's story with this amount of time left.. bummer.

Unless this was all part of Akechi's plan or something, he doesn't seem like a bad person after all with the dealing of Futaba's uncle and telling a bit on his past as bastard son. Owner is no fool for falling for those obvious things lol, good thing Ren and the team can trust him with their secret without any worries now.
