An official website has been opened to reveal that the Jigoku Shoujo franchise will get a live-action movie. It will premiere in Japanese theaters next fall.

Jigoku Shoujo is an original anime produced by Studio Deen. Four seasons were broadcast in Fall 2005, Fall 2006, Fall 2008, and Summer 2017. A live-action TV drama was broadcasted between November 2006 to January 2007 for total of 12 episodes.

What the hell? Didn't even know Jigoku Shoujo had a manga, thought it was anime original project. Highly doubt it will sell at all, but it should make for a good meme at the very least...

Great, now they will adapt the whole genre of anime in live action movies ffs. That isn't even the problem, but the adaptations are terribly bad. At least try cosplaying the actors into the characters they portray, for a change.
