| It's almost October so let's predict how well this show will be received. Personally I don't think this show will drop below 8 until the third or fourth cour. At its peak I would give it an 8.4, which I predict around the second cour. If the adaptation is faithful the entire way then I think it will have a final rating of ~7.7, so slightly above the first season. Edit: Since they're taking a break two cours in and splitting it up, I'm almost positive this season won't drop below 8 and might actually finish with an 8.4+ if A-1 doesn't screw anything up. |

| ive read the LN alicization arc and i really think the adaption has a lotta potential so I'd guess maybe 7.9 or low 8s. howeverrr it'll probably be somewhere around 7.3 or so due to SAO haters rating the it 1 after the first episode |

| I'm not gonna watch it regardless, but I think the rating would depend on a couple of factors, like on how accurate the science of the arc is (I don't know anything about neuroscience but the "soul tubes" or whatever it was sounds ridiculous), how long they spend on the overly long explanations of things that can be explained in a few sentences (like Project Alicization itself or that huge plot twist that takes so long to explain it bleeds from one volume into another), and how long they spend on boring bits like the stupid academy. Since this arc is probably the best the LNs have to offer (well so far, as I'm not completely caught up yet), I think a best case scenario would be around 8.9, with a worst case scenario being 7.something. According to MAL's page for the series, it's a full adaptation of all TEN volumes of the arc, when two cours usually covered 4 a-piece in the past, so eh... |
| Since episode 1 is being previewed early at several events, it's going to have the same thing that JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken: Ougon no Kaze (and other series in the past, such as Violet Evergarden iirc) has right now where it's split between people scoring it 10 or 1 without having watched it, as a start. As it goes on, we really just have to wait and see. My advice to worry less about how people are gonna score it and think about your own enjoyment. Unfortunately, there will absolutely be people who stick with 10 or 1 no matter what because some people just have to. I'm excited and I hope it turns out well. I may have the opportunity to see the first episode early at a preview, so here's hoping 🤞 |
| There are a fair amount of die-hard SAO haters out there who will give it 1 out of 10 no matter what. Despite that, I guesstimate it to be somewhere between 7.7 and 8 by the time of its completion. Personally I gave Season 1 a ten, Season 2 a nine, and Ordinal Scale a eight. The first season is still a classic for me! My prediction for my personal rating by the end is 9 :) |
| As a SAO hater myself(I didn't give it a 1) I think its gonna be like a 7.6 like season 1 but I think it should be in the 6 area. |

| Probably low-8 with a drop to high-7 by the time the last episode airs. I've heard this arc is supposedly good or something, so that could help. Then again, I'm still utterly baffled by how Ordinal Scale actually has a higher rating than every season, even though it was actually quite bad. So what do I know about how most people score their anime? |

| maybe around 7.8-8.0 when the series ends. but, if the animation quality goes down in the middle of the series (like every A-1 pictures anime), i think it'll be around 7.5-7.7 |
