| really sad news just finished first season of initial d and really enjoyed his portrayal of bunta. he had such a colorful list of roles. rest peacefully. |
| Damn...I've recently been watching a lot of anime he's been featured in...Initial D, Macross Plus and Delta, Juushinki Pandora...I'm watching Aquarion right now and he also voiced Fudou the badass commander? And now he's gone...Looks like Pandora might have to take a break to find a new VA to fill in for Cain... Rest in Peace, and thanks for everything. |

| Genuinely sad about this; Ishizuka was one of, if not my favourite Japanese voice actor. He was great in so many roles, my favourites being Jet Black, Ryotaro Dojima, and of course Professor Oak and the narrator from Pokemon. He was even amazing and the weirdo dad from Sankarea and the narrators of Zero kara and SAO Gun Gale online. Will miss his voice for sure :( |

| I just got done watching Ep. 19 of Juushinki Pandora when I saw this. His VA is literally like the most pervasive one out there. Sad to see how many characters will now need to be recast. |

| It's been a few days, but man, I'm still really bummed by this news... Mr. Ishizuka was an incredibly talented VA and one of my personal favorites. He voiced so many great characters (Jet and Joseph being two of my faves), and he always gave an stand-out performance in every role. It sounds like he was a great guy IRL too, from what his co-stars have said. The world of Japanese voice acting truly isn't going to be the same without him. :( Thanks for giving us so many wonderful characters, Ishizuka-san. See you Space Cowboy... 1951-2018 |
