I only found out about MAL in 2012, by accident. By then I've finished about 200-ish series.

About 90-110 I think. Somewhere in that range. And it just exploded from there.

Aesthetic value can be recognized or experienced, but it cannot be conveyed to those who are incapable of grasping its sensations and perceptions. To quarrel on its behalf is always a blunder.

I guess like 20 or a little bit more. Then I lost my interest because of people making fun of me. And here we go again -_-

About 150 anime completed in 10 years from 2004 to 2014. But it truly really started when I joined MAL.

@J_LEE_C Hol tf up so you've watched 1k plus anime in just more than 19 months since your instructor helped you get into it.

Pretty sure it's less than 10. I joined MAL to search out for more anime to watch since I really got into anime early on.

Around 100 I think..But remember what matters is not how many animes you've watched, rather it's how many quality hours you spent watching anime.

Only about 8. My friends had already had it before I got into anime so as soon as I told them I was watching it, they suggested I get a MAL account setup.

Yes, that is correct. If you notice in my list, I'm a franchise completionist, so there are many entries that are ova/specials/etc.

Also, this is my (4th) straight anime season that I've watched *every airing (subbed) anime that I have seen the prerequisites/earlier seasons for. So like this season the only exceptions are like Encouragement of the Climb, and Yugioh Vrains, and a very few others. (My currently watching list is at 77). I watch have weeklys that I watch every day of the week to the tune of:

M: 9
Tu: 12
W: 3
Th: 9
F: 14
Sa: 11
Su: 7

and then (8) that don't air on a set basis, (3) that are completed but I'm working on additionally, and I've started One Piece but won't be caught up with it terribly soon.

I regularly work on my PTW list entries as well. But yeah, I needed a new focus and past time, and once I got hooked, I really got hooked.

PS - if you notice, your ratio of 'Days Watched' to 'Completed' is more than mine (202 Com : 98.7 Day) vs (1,268 Com : 126.4 Day) because of all my single entry shorts/ova/specials/music/historical early ones.

all except like 30 which was when i used the old pen and paper method to log anime before turning to the simpler online format. it was the iMAL app that made me even use this website. i only have a few listed from childhood since i cant safely say i completed them. things like bobobo will need to be rewatched from scratch to make sure

For me maybe like 6-8 on the top of my head. Maybe more? This is why I needed a tracker like MAL.

Well, I've been watching anime since I was a kid and I watched plenty of them, so I don't remember how many I had already completed or not. When I grew up, however, I decided to start watching anime "seriously", and then I had only finished 2 series before joining MAL.

Exactly 57, excluding specials, movies, and kids series(=the ones not on my list)

Mind you, that was after three years of watching anime. So it's not that much

Around 60-70 I think. Most of them were TV series except few Ghibli movies, so it wasn't hard to memorize them.

I don't know anymore tbh. But I guess it was around 150? I joined MAL because I've never made a list of my own and after two years of rarely watching any anime I got a bit confused, so...

I believe I was at like 24~ anime and I was forgetting which ones I had watch so I made a notepad with them. Then, was like wait a fucking min isn't there a site for this and just transferred them over here to MAL yeah.

Same. I was writing my anime on a notepad and index cards to keep track. Luckily I had only finished about 12 or so series before a friend introduced me to MAL. I found MAL only like six months after I started watching anime (I'm not counting the shows I watched as a kid), and I still think it's one of the best sites out there. Although I think I love it because of how ridiculously meticulous and organized I am. Like, my favorite parts of MAL is how super specific and detailed you can be with the entries on your list (dates, scores, tags, re-watches, storage data). I was really upset when it went down (especially how I can no longer use PocketMAL) but I'm glad to see its been slowly piecing itself back together.

Around 250 - 300. It was mostly the ones I had watched on TV. Been watching anime since 2003, only started watching online somewhere in 2012.

I started getting back into anime late in 2016. Not including the shows and movies I watched as a kid I was probably at most 10 anime deep.

Maybe the first few years of my time using the internet. Then comes a point, I can't necessarily track it down properly.. So thats where I made my decision to finally make one for myself. (≧▽≦)

Three anime (Fate Stay/Night, Evangelion, Death Note) without counting the stuff I saw during my childhood. Wasn't even a fan of anime back then, but I made an account anyway because my friend kept pressuring me.

Around 20 or so different series. I’m clad I found MAL relatively early; it makes so much easier to keep track of shows.

I only joined MAL the beginning of this year and started watching anime since late 2015 so probably around 25-30 (quite a lot actually).

Many people say that anime is not a cartoon. But in the end, they're all nothing but drawings on paper.

I had watched about 50 anime before I discovered MAL, and before that I just had them all written down on a memo on my phone in the order that I watched them. I like MAL, but I miss being able to quickly see in what order I watched all my anime :(

I started watching anime in 2005, so MAL didn't exist (I was 12 anyway, so thank god it didn't, I was writing Sonic fanfics back then). At first, it was just Naruto and Bleach, and it took a few years for me to extend my .txt list. I only watched what my friends recommended me for over 5 years (Death Note, Code Geass, Soul Eater, Fairy Tail, but not much more). One day, I just lost my file and I had to rebuild my list from the ground up. At that point, I had somewhere between 15 and 30 anime on it. It was in December 2010. Because of that, I had to try to piece a new list together from memory and Google searches. That's when I found MyAnimeList. My transformation to an otaku was pretty quick after that.
