While watching One Punch Man episode 9, I saw the scene with Mumen Rider getting the shit beat out of him.
Let's just say his little speech struck a cord with me and I teared up a bit.
OPM is a comedy anime, but this scene was just a bit touching for me.

Even I remember that scene, but instead of crying I was laughing at him.

Gintama includes many emotional scenes, despite also being a comedy anime...

I remember there was like 1 episode of Majimoji Rurumo that I ended up crying at the end. It was the 1 episode in the series that was actually good, the rest of it was below average to meh

@AyameTomoko
I can't say I cried for Mumen Rider in OPM, but it was a good scene.

The no game no life movie? I read the light novel before, but I still ended up crying when watching the movie. Shuvi desperately hanging on was really touching.

Wait which scene in particular? It had some impactful moments, but I didn't cry over it. Not anywhere close.
I'm not a lolicon, you're just projecting your tendency to lewd 2D characters.

No, I have yet to experience something like that. On the other hand, I've laughed way too many times while watching a melodrama bullshit. Does that count?

You caught me. Keroro Gunsou episode 51. I watched it a second time, thinking how ridiculous it was I cried the first time, then proceeded to cry again.

Maybe Udon no Kuni, and Hentai Ouji.

Also Hinamatsuri, the Anzu-chan scene hit me so hard.

Gintama made me cry a lot, either from laughing too hard or because the scene was very emotional.

Hinamatsuri can be really emotional at times. but if you talking about “comedy” as the tags in MAL, Ansatsu Kyoushitsu and Shirobako it is. both made me cry, especially Shirobako my boy damn

Gintama for sure and recently Hinamatsuri.

Although I never cry when watching anything, I do feel emotional impact when watching touching scenes. However, feels scenes in comedy shows usually make me annoyed more than anything else.

It's the main reason I dropped Hinamatsuri.

I'd like my comedy be straight comedy.

Its a little weird, but I ended up crying over A Sister's All you need. The last episode flashback where Itsuki resolves to be an author while the op kicks in hit me way harder than it had any right to.

Now I feel slightly better about myself lol. Yeah the show had a fair share of emotional scenes despite one would think initially.

Kitakubu Katsudou Kiroku, there was an episode on Botan's relationships with people and how she met her best friend, it was touching. She even says: "I'm like broken glass, you can't touch me for you're gonna get hurt but I glitter in the sunlight." My eyes were so watery.

Aside from tears of laughter/happiness:

I did get a little teary during the Hinamatsuri scene mentioned here already, where

I think the first time I got truly emotional though was during the Lily-centric episode of Zombie Land Saga. Her backstory really got to me for some reason.

Other instances that got me a bit teary-eyed:

  • The titular character
in the last episode of the first season of Squid Girl. Also,
    in the fifth episode.

  • Non Non Biyori Episode 4,

  • Space Brothers after

You are definitely not the only one. I cried of laughing every time shogun was on screen. Every episode with him was a masterpiece.
