| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- The return of my favorite, green jacket! This was a great little classic murder mystery. Had kind of an Agatha Christie vibe to it, and apparently it was actually based on an original Arsene Lupin story. Pretty cool, I’m surprised the franchise hasn’t tried its hand at adapting one before this, given its where it gets its namesake and basic premise. I also really liked all the subtle character acting, really helps sell smaller stories like this. The maid was cute too, too bad we’ll probably never see her ever again knowing how Lupin canon is, lol. |
| Great Green Jacket episode. It was really good, and a bit sad. I loved to hear an arrangement of the "Fire Treasure" song from Castle of Cagliostro OST at the end. The one I suspected the most was the killer after all, well, I never saw a twin coming, but out of those three I just knew it. Fujiko is gonna be back in the next one! <3 |

| Green jacket <3 Marie's laugh, what a cutie.. I'm weak against maid xD I thought it'll feel more like Kindaichi more than Conan But it obviously have Conan influence since there's Detective Conan vs. Lupin not Kindaichi vs. Lupin :P Marie totally should become a permanent character xD |

| Not gonna lie. I thought the Maid was the killer, but that would have been obvious. Or Madame would wake up and it was all a ruse from the start. I love how the maid reacted the same with Lupin when he was drawing those three people XD Such a simple, but clever episode. Very Lupin only centric episode. I knew Marie's Seiyuu is Yui Ishikawa. Such a familiar voice :) I hope Marie will appear again someday! Also did the Twin died or what? |

| A rare Lupin solo. Good to see the green jacket. Perhaps because it's been decades since I read original Arsene Lupin stories, I was also reminded of Agatha Christie, especially Poirot mysteries, although this was even more contrived. I also suspected the maid, as well as thinking that the Madame faked her own death, expecting her to be then killed for real, perhaps by her secret aid. It's funny that because these kind of stories never have the simple solution, I tend to expect something complex and contrived. |
I did enjoy watching him turn the cogs for once instead of just blowing shit up. |
