I thought I was watching Knights of Sidonia with those mecha scenes.

The Godzilla battle was awesome. I can't wait for the next movie! :D

A little better than previous one.

Uhh wut? Ghidora? They haven't even defeated Godzilla yet and a bunch of them died and we're already talking about a stronger enemy? Damn. But to be honest I kinda liked this movie.

This certainly was a lot better than the first movie, a whole better pacing and interesting character development with a superb part of action! Looking forward for the next movie to be honest.

not much action but the dialogues are awesome i especially like the talk about in order to defeat monsters you need to abandon your humanity and become a monster too lol but Haruo decided against that ideology to rescue his girlfriend but damn in the end his girlfriend died and Godzilla is still alive

nanomachines are cool too and use good on this movie

and lol i was expecting a real Mecha-Godzilla but that did not show up

next up Ghidorah

Better than the first, obviously setting up King Ghidorah and Mothra (with all the bug references). Looking kinda forward to the third and final part.

Yes, this 2nd Movie is better than the previous one...

The twins are cute though, one is calmer and the other glares a lot... lol

Yuko gets jealous when Haruo talk to them...

oh man, I thought we get to see MechaGodzilla in this movies but nope. Here MechaGodzilla City. The nanomachine is really cool. Of course those mecha-holic so excited when they see that big city made full of nanomachines.

They then use the technology to upgrade their robot. Into a freaking Freedom Gundam. lmao. It went Burst Mode too

The idea to becomes one with the MechaGodzilla city is really freaking me out. You need to evolve too to beat the big Godzilla Oh hell no Biluzaludonian.

It seems Haruo survive from turning into nanomachines because of that 'bugs' medicine from the tribe. Too bad Yuko died. Or is she??

Gonna wait for the next/finale part. The priest talks about Ghidora too. Wonder how will this ends.

Oooh nooo, our dull heroine dies.

Mostly interesting movie, but I feel that all the build up in the first 50-60 minutes is too much without providing a fully satisfying third act comparatively. I wasn't bored per se, but they could have achieved more with this runtime.

That being said, I absolutely loved the final fight. This is why I watch anime productions by Polygon Pictures; their action scenes are a sight to behold and a feast for the ears. I really wish we'd get another TV anime from them, like Sidonia no Kishi or Ajin.

7/10. I would give it a 6,5 if I could, but +0.5 for the stellar animation throughout and the badass action finale.

This was definitely way better than the first movie, but I don't quite understand what Metphies meant when he said their battle was beyond things like fear and grief especially when Metphies rejected the Bilusaludo's overly logical worldview.
All you can hope for in your worldview is consistency

Wince there wasn't any romance tag, Yuko was bound to die!

Good movie, 6/10.

This was significantly better than the first movie. I've been waiting to watch this forever because I wanted to check it out with my bf, but he hated the first movie, so I just it off. It was really decent.
I liked the whole aspect of the humanoid tribe and how they may have evolved from insects. That was really cool and interesting. I didn't understand their whole "religion" and "worship" thing, because they don't worship Godzilla, right? At the point where they speak to Haruo and everyone, they talk about speaking to the Egg, and how that was all they had left. Godzilla killed whoever they worshipped? Hoping Mothra makes an appearance next movie lol

A little sad that the only black characters, a species called Bilusaludo, were lacking in emotion and as cool as they were, basically sacrificed themselves in some strange philosophy. Strangely Kantian/Utilitarian. I was really excited about the nanometal and MechaGodzilla, but wow, that was kind of disappointing. I can't believe that the whole plan of the Bilusaludo was to let the nanometal take over Earth... for what reason? Why not just let Godzilla rule if you're going to abandon your individuality anyway? So it was obvious what Haruo's choice would be, to take down Godzilla with a kamikaze move, or destroy Belu-be and the nanometal headquarters to stop the spread of it.
Meh. Giving it a 7 or 8/10 based on the world building. So much better than the first movie.
