| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Now this was more of an informative episode. It comes from Dr. Franxx, the creator of the Franxx including the time when he met the Klaxosaurs princess. To me, this episode is really important to understand some of the origins of the series including the world building. Also thought it's kinda interesting how much humanity has dedicated themselves to research in their world. Year 2042, we got the technology at this timeline. Rebellion should be starting soon. |

| This was the episode that I wanted for so long. The world history, the sequence of events that led to the world becoming what it is now is what I've always wanted to know. I honestly think the Doctor would've been a fantastic character if he was fleshed out more, I was really invested in his story as he narrated it, I loved the dinner scene with his wife. I can't help but feel kinda sad that this story and the Doctor's character were left untouched till this episode. :( The kids learn that APE doesn't give two shits about them and they're just tool for fighting. It was pretty cool of Hiro to declare that he wanted their freedom after this mission. After this episode, I can't help but wish that the story had progressed in a more philosophical fashion than the way it did with all the teen drama. The title of this episode 'Inhunamity' is so very apt. Looking forward to what they do next, this final arc just might turn out to be the best of the series. |

| Dr. Werner was responsible for erasing Hiro and Zero Two memories back then, I thought he gave the order to modify Kokoro and Mitsuru's as well, but it was by APE's command, the couple feel nothing between each other, it was sad seeing Futoshi trying to push Kokoro to being Mitsuru's partner, poor dude. Werner did saw in front line how his future wife died, I kinda feel bad for him. Didn't expect the confrontation of the kids to APE, they'll have a last mission but it won't be an easy one, I bet when the kids raised their voice APE was like "I want them dead". |

| ok, i know it's a stale meme at this point. but the similarity of some scenes to evangelion reaches absurdity -evil organization influences the world with ulterior motives -unknown monsters threaten humanity (upd: targeting some specific areas, not just destroying humans as extermination) -franks' wife dies in a robot during test -franks moves out to some cold place to obtain a part of the monster and study it -franks' obsession with these monsters -growing 002 just as a vial for his obsession and seeing how thing will work out there are a lot more, but those aren't just similar to eva and goddamn, episode 19 and they just explain things? i swear to god, somebody by the end of this show should just do a list of episodes in the correct order |

| I liked the twist, it's pretty original. Humanity literally bamboozled itself with immortality. Klaxosaurs existed way before humans but they got pissed off with the magma energy mining lol. Also, this happens when you try to lewd the loli queen, you WILL lose an arm or more. Time for rebellion. |

| After 18 episodes they make a backstory infodump. Too late to care at this point. They also overreached, you either go with humanity destroying itself with scientific development unconstrained by morals and common sense (which would be a great topic) or ancient mole people. Put two together, mix in some weak writing and you get clusterfuck in the franxx. |

| Finally some answers regarding history ,wasn't impressed,but they did at least a fine job. Also confirmed that 02 is a clone of the princess. |

| Guess Ape prefers obedient parasites that obey their every command. The choice of immortality or loss of reproduction abilities though was a hard one. The amount of pilots who lost their lives in the creation of the franxx was staggering. So the reason the parasites were separated from the city was because they had emotions. But the revelation that no matter how many klax's they kill that they never will be adults sure was a bitter pill especially for Zorome. A very informative episode that provided some great insight into the past events that led to the present as well as the doc's life and his contributions to the franxx project. Looks like Hiro's squad have grown fed up with papa's callous actions. Their next battle though will surely be a fierce one. |

| Very good episode but it actually kinda fell under my expectations. I expected a 10/10 episode but in the end, it was about a 8. Still solid. I really have been pissed with this show for a few weeks and I'm so glad I finally got the infodump I wanted. This show is finally taking itself seriously and trying to form some story. There were some slow bits and I wanted more information about the FranXX and the klaxosaurs and the squads but overall, they did a solid job. Dr. Franxx is by far the most interesting character in this show and he was great. |
| It's pretty late in the game at this point, but finally we get a backstory episode about Dr. Franxx, with an explanation about how the world became the way it did. Hiro and co. now understand that Papa doesn't care about them. Let's see if they can end up getting the freedom they desire. |

I guess it's a good balance or else overpopulation would be a never ending issue. The parasites are pre-immorality clones who likely have engineered shorter lifespans (I gather this from the gray strands on the back of Miky's hair a few episodes back). It seems the Klaxosaurs have/had some kind of civilization going on under humanity's nose all this time and were drawn out by the drilling for energy. So far the "queen" seems to be the only one who possesses human intelligence while the rest are drones of various types. Guess the war is the result of a back and forth between the two races and nothing particularly special. If APE manages to be disposed of it is possible for the human race to return to a peaceful coexistence with the Klaxosaurs assuming it's just a matter of the latter being disturbed. |
| Wish this episode came a little sooner. I probably would have cared more. Still nice to see though. Despite seeing only a handful of times? Dr.Franxx has already become one of my favorite characters. |

| Damn! All characters are shining at this episode. I like it. Finally, Zorome faced reality. We will get a final battle. But the squad doesn't know what the odds are between Ape and K-Queen. K-Queen said 'don't hunt my klaxosaurs', but she didn't said anything about magma. APE didn't listen to her and keep mining and hunting. I still don't know why APE wants to reach and destroy her clan. After all, buy your immortality by exchanging your home is not funny. They said to Zero Two 'kill more klaxosaurs and get your humanity' They said to the kids 'kill more klaxosaurs and get your freedoom' At the ending; APE gets on that ship, the kids or the queen smacks them into magma. ;P I am not sure if 'death flag flipping coin frenzy' will continue or we will be saved by the queen, after all, Zero Two smells like teen spirit of hers. Fun fact; Klaxosaur Queen kills Dr. Franxx; - You made our baby without my consent?! How dare you?! I can't wait to see both Zero Two's and The Queen's reactions when they come to face to face and learns they are mother and daughter. Also Kokoro isn't really a whore. Her only fault is that she broke her promise. Futoshi has forgiven her for it, he even had the chance to team up with her again, but refused. Enough this Kokoro x Futoshi x Mitsuru drama; Kokoro is already 'punished'. What's wrong to have a baby with her delicious candidate? Now, she even doesn't know what she was desiring. I hope she gets that book back and remembers everything. |
