THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
This episode was honestly tough to watch. The metaphor of being chained as a slave...ugh.

Drama got much more complicated now that a third party got involved with Seiya's former lover. Not to mention, we also got Adachi introduced with devious intentions. I honestly thought the episode was a bit awkward though with the character outfits. (in particular the school uniforms) Nakano's genderrevelation though...I feel like nothing in this show is surprising anymore.

Julia is up to no good. I feel a bit bad for Seiya, the poor guy. Some people take this slavery stuff way too much. That poor woman got punched so bad. At least the guy got bitten in the balls by the dog, he deserved it.

Damn shame it's not rated higher because some people are offended by cartoon rape.

Anyway this show is great, the escalation of events on each episode and the fact it's no holds barred. We went from rape -> double NTR the second of which was Seiya's fault for getting greedy and trying to con eyepatch into being his slave which forced Julia out on the street where she became a slave -> human experimentation and women beating.

They manage to concoct different reasons that each character wants a slave, in this episode the character actually wanted to be a slave. It's an interesting dynamic.

YET SOMEHOW THIS SHOW ONLY GOT A 6.5 rating

An ok episode i guess but that ending was interesting. either some smart guy come out with a way to use the dog to a make a forced deal, or the persons genital part is the weakness and you'll lose automatically if it gets in danger! anyway cant w8 to find out!

Wasn't the guy in the car (the one she called "helper" according to the subs) the master? I think he looks like the last one of the 6 chars in the pic used for the MAL entry of this anime.

I guess if you beg the other one to stop - in a fight - you'll lose (like the guy did at the end). Even if you don't formally agree on fighting as a duel. Guess other could use a dog to get slaves (if they are the owner of the dog but I think the dog hat a "neutral" symbol?)

OMG Shiori just bit off more than she can chew the moment she puts on that SCM all thanks to that cross dressed brat Nakano. but then again that Invisible Zenchi has now become a dog's dog....too bad....

I have funny feeling that Eiya may have put her SCM on that dog.

Lol, I'm so used to yuri lately that I was even surprised to find out that she was a guy. At the same time, this show continues to amaze me with its violence and darkness.

Level of my english is still too poor, so ask not particularly angry because of my terrible grammar.

By the end of that dog better had made everyone his slaves.

OT: not sure how exactly a dog would make someone agree to "duel" him neither how exactly would that even work in the first place, still i guess this was a fun(?) episode even if is just introducing characters on top of characters and putting them in complicaded situation to try create false tension. Also did Julia just removed her SCM? I thought if you are either a slave or a master you couldnt remove them or i misread something?

The dog won an SCM duel, this is quite a weird turn of events.

As much as people are complaining about this show, I think it's kind of interesting

well, this ep is wayy far more better than the previous one, lol...

well, the characters in this anime are either too stupid to search more information about SCM or just doesn't care, since MC just did a little search on the net and got all those information about Julia and Ryuuou, and no context in the anime showed that the MC is expert hacker or some sort, so yea :P

and my 2 cent about Ryuuou identity,
first, he's the guy with the glasses in the first ep. Why? bcos in the first few minutes he told on of those girls to have sex with him and Julia was there too.

second, Ryuuou probably one of the guy who still havent appeared in screen, but is rich or something. bcos Julia action to the guy inside the car, doesn't really look like Master slave act, but if both of them are slaves of Ryuuou, the guy inside the car doesn't really look like random slave Ryuuou got, but more like bodyguard or something, so yeah, I think Ryuuouo is rich enough to hire bodyguard and do all those experiment...

and Koromar- I mean, Zushiomaru, probably one of those experiment about what if SCM placed into animals or something xD

So in a slave duel, the loser becomes the slave of the winning slave's master. That makes sense. Poor Seiya can't say anything.

Character art designs were pretty off this episode, but not a big deal.

Nakano wanted to be Shiori's slave. Wait...if he wanted that, couldn't he just have let Shiori win, or is that against the rules of the SCM?

Just when we see a decent person in Shiori, she gets beat up. Damn.

Looks like Julia is collecting her own slave army for her master as well.

EAT DICKS! So dogs can wear SCMs too huh. The question now is: Who owns the dog?

I like this. I think the first 6 episodes will center on the side characters, and the last 6 is where it all comes together for the ultimate duel. This should be interesting.

Lol no matter how tough you are, no man could ever handle a dog bite to the dick. He deserved that after beating up that woman.

Also, I'm surprised that no one has mentioned the Jojo reference yet. Well, I guess I'm the first.

When I saw this show initially, I really thought it would be Ousama Game level of shit.

But surprisingly, this show has not been bad and infact, this episode was really solid.

I love how this anime doesn't hold back and let's it be what it wants to be without being overly cartoony with its presentation.

Lmao they got dogs out here being masters. Who's out here putting retainers in dog's mouths lmaoo.

Zenchi is a huge ugh. We got some really f'd up people in this anime. I hope the MC comes in and kicks everyone's ass excluding the dog.

Does this mean that Shiori now belongs to the dog?

The first episode made it seem like the possessor creates a dependency of the SCM so he/she can take it out but is compelled to put in on again right away. The way it was represented here however, it seems like Julia can remove it no problem and be some time without it, wich begs the question how would that even work in the first place and what are the limitates since without the SCM wouldnt the following of master orders as well as the rule that prohibits a slave to inflict harm on his/her master become null? There is no stimulus being sent to the brain or anything that enables such action so... eh i am probably overthinking this, still thx for the clarification anyway.

Or maybe the show is just really atrocious in every aspect?

I think 6.5 (which is above average) is way too high for this show.

I can’t take any of that seriously and the production quality in this episode also went to rock-bottom. All that wonky proportions, the derp-faces and the “action-scene” while that dude fought the dog. Laughable.

This series wasn’t believable at any point and the rules aren’t thought out. When I read the Manga I already thought that the rules were made up on the go – whatever the plot needs, is possible. Even the most ridiculous shit, like a dog having a retainer.

Nothing in this show makes sense and if one enjoys it as an absolute shit show because “it is so bad, that it’s good”, fine…
But I would never think of this Anime as a genuinely good show. It has so many flaws: Starting with the character interactions that are solely for the sake of the plot, bad animations, boring sound-setting and with a plot that is so ridiculously, that I probably lost some points of IQ while watching it.

Btw. I can enjoy mindless fun but not when it tries to sell its plot as something that it isn’t. This story isn’t clever and the twists are dumb but somehow the show tries to be super smart.

You have the most jewish anime in history in your favorites, miscegenation, homosexuality, feminism, misandry, marxism, degeneracy and I only managed to watch a few episodes before shutting it off.

Whatever gripe you have with this show stems from the fact you aren't a man, you are offended by cartoon rape and then you rationalized it from there. Rules don't make sense? Haven't been consistent? Why because you said so? You think you can't challenge an animal to a duel by aligning its biological imperative with the subject matter of that duel. And if the dog is just someone else's slave, and as we know it is possible to train a dog, then nothing is inconsistent.

The rules haven't changed, they have been extrapolated upon the device is relatively new and unknown and the MC was the one giving the rules its possible he didn't know everything. There is no omniscient narrator.

Sounds like you read a couple reviews on rotten tomatos and now you fancy yourself a critic. How is that a legitimate critique? You probably like slice of life garbage and the whole purpose of those is interactions between the characters there is no plot to speak of. Telling a story through interactions of characters in an anthology is a perfectly legitimate means of story telling. You are just slapping the keyboard and writing words that mean nothing here.

Complaining about bad animation or sound is because absolute shit like Wotaku get more funding. it isn't the story's fault that they are on a budget.

Now to circle back, this is because you are offended by the content because you are a fairy, not for any legitimate reason.

And you know I am offended, because of…?

Sorry, the only person that sounds offended is you. I am, in fact a man and I don’t think that a certain masculinity (or femininity) has something to do with what Anime one enjoys or what they do not enjoy.

Also: Learn to read. I never said they change the rules. I said, I’ve the feeling that the author came up with the rules on the way.

I don’t know why I sound like someone that reads on rotten tomatoes or why you get so fucking butthurt, over the fact that I don’t like what you like. I mean… your favourite Anime are Death Note and Code Geass, like every dude that watched 3 Anime and thinks DN and CG is sooo sugoi. BUT I’m also not low enough to score your credibility on what you like/dislike… because… I have a brain.

And don’t get me wrong: Like what the fuck you want but don’t act like YOU are the high horsed critique when you can’t fucking take what others have to write.

If I hurt your feelings because “buhu, he does think the edgy Anime I’m masturbating to are bad”, I feel too bad. My argument wasn’t about what YOU should think or to change your approach. It was my guess, why people do not like it. Because it is a bad show – surly not for everyone but it really does not deserve a higher score.

And now cry some more.

TL;DR:

well you are not really overthinking, at least, not at all, this anime has a lot of issues already, specially the dog being able to use SCM and feel "Obligation" out of it. To have this amount of plotholes in 3 episodes is a bad sign, hope they explain this, otherwise it will end being another Inuyashiki/Kokkoku

You are a very faye guy despite being 50+ years old so no you arent a man. That is the point, you like shit that is for female audiences. You like moe shit and slice of life. This is the opposite of that.

What I'm saying your criticisms are unfounded and make no sense, the difference between making the rules up on the fly and changing rules is semantics, and you have't been able to demonstrate either case. Even still the author coming up with things along the way is how manga is written, they don't have a plan sketched out for the ending of their series because the chapters are reactive to the audience for that week/month. The author writes to explore the characters and story and naturally comes to the conclusion at the end.

Don't think because you wasted over a year of your 70 year life of lonlieness watching anime that you have any valid input as to what is good or what is not. You gave lucky star a 9 for fucks sake. And you gave nothing a 10, it's like you don't even understand how a rating system works, it's relative to the subset that is being rated entertainment -> anime, within this context you decide a baseline and then determine what is good or bad from that.

And I systematically went through and explained why your reasons were shit, absolutely no good and invalid.

I second all of this. I'm watching 30+ shows this season on my free time, and this is actually one of the better ones. I notice people are hyper critical of darker shows. Let me give an example. I'm a huuuuuuge fan of Steins;Gate, played the VN A LOT. I liked Steins;Gate 0 as well. But, the first few episodes of the new anime has only been decent. Yet it has one of the highest scores on the entire site and people praise the shit out of it. However, this has been much more entertaining and yet you see the 'critics' trampling on any minor 'flaw' it has lol. They're only critical when they want to be.

The ratings on this site are diluted to be much higher thanks to the ignorance of the masses, what happens when you come across something edgier is the people who have been brainwashed by the feminine imperative see rape and then they shut down completely and run away. Also there is a snobbery that allows better animation studios with higher budgets to secure higher rank despite bad script writing. If we look at Wotaku and Real Girl, the plot is similar, the writing for one clearly out does the other where the character development is a literal paragraph of dialogue at the bar. And its just so frustrating because then these types of anime keep getting produced every season despite the fact that they are terrible. That's why I am going to smash anyone who talks down on this anime into the curb with my wit and big brain.

I DONT UNDERSTAND I DONT UNDERSTAND.. I DONT UNDERSTAND.... why would you accept a duel in which you have NO BENEFIT for winning for becoming a SLAVE? Does that woman even knows what being a slave means? Or is she taking it all as fun? that's the only explanation cause otherwise i just dont see how you can be that dull, really...
Or just bad writing which can make some sense...
Let's see... you are a person in 20nties, you probably lived through some shit, you are not that naive. A person you never seen before approaches you (And lets be real she is not into women so being charmed is out of the question) and asks you for a slave battle, but DONT WORRY she will let you go if she loses....
WOW sounds so appealing...

NO,did anyone else believe in that bullshit of "I will let you go" WOMAN you just met her several minutes ago, you cant really be trusting her in this day of age? or in any day of age to be real, especially when it concerns you becoming someone's slave.

Just feeling bad for the girl doesnt pass as an excuse for someone to be motivated enough to do something for someone else. If someone appraoches you and tells you their sorrow, you'd feel bad for her, but then she proceeds to request you to become their slave, would you really agree? WTF

Shocked. And why'd you choose a competition where you can lose? Make a competition where you are the most confident. Honestly thats just some bad writing, author clearly didnt think this through.
By it being not that realistic, makes me really detached from a character and the story.
Like Julia for example, for now i can totally connect to her, sure we dont know how she got tricked or how she became a slave, but i can already feel sympathy for her and i want to follow her as a viewer follows their most loved charcater of the show, rooting for them and such.
How can i root for someone, when their decision making is just not realistic by any means?

Disgust... The beatdown of that woman was so hard to watch >_< Why author... why? thats just cruelty. I dont know why authors keep showing stuff like severe cruelty and rape on the screen (sure we didnt have rape yet but you get the point) Most people just hate this stuff, and its really hard to watch, you are appealing to some surreal S audience only. Dude even if you are an S, i myself probably more on a S side, it was still surreal to watch how he just beat the crap out of that woman.

Amazement...The fight vs a dog was great tho LOL, best part of the episode, go doggy lolll. That was some plot twist that dog can become a master tho. SUPER COOL. That alone makes the anime to be super great, its just unorthodox lets be real, i was never expecting a DOG as a participant Heh.

SO far its still remains to be the most enjoyable anime of the season, hope Julia arc will be good, for the sake of the anime, it all lies on her at the end. The anime can go from great to shit really fast if her arc plummets.

This episode ruined the the last 2 episodes. What the actual fuck. A dog that can wear sm? A slave that challenges another slave? Doesnt that mean that they can just lose to eachother and let the winner give the other guy freedom?

This show really isn’t thought through and i find that really disappointing.
Loved the concept but the execution is horrible. Basicly the same as kings game.

So retarded with more trash characters... lots of hard to watch stuff lol, tho the game mechanics are interesting as they're still slowly revealing all the rules but apparently lots of scm users dont know the rules.
But cutest one is a trap of course, and best character now goes to doge, very well fought. Never thought doge can get scm too.

Man they're just making up rules on the spot.

The episode was trash. Until the ending, which was amazing.

Despite a reasonably interesting premise, this seems to go downhill. I guess it's a drop then.

A freaking Dog just became some dude's master... he deserved it though. Ain't really feeling this anime much anymore, not sure if I'll drop it yet though.

wahahah! now this is getting interesting!
I wonder who is the owner of that dog with an SCM! never thought about that way of being used! so now the scumbag dude is now a slave to the dog!? wahaha priceless!
Looks like more characters are getting involved with SCM and Julia is involved again! Looks like Team Julia and Team MC is both capable team and both are using their brains! unlike the crossdresser who underestimated the SCM...

So, you cannot follow a command of you don't understand your master right? Or does he now know dog speak magically and will learn how to lick his own balls?
