Aha!!! Finally an episode which made me connect with the characters and story, earlier episodes felt as if the expressions given by okarin forced. but the ending in this episode seemed legit and gave a better understanding of why he felt that way :)

Also Im getting used to Christina's subbed voice, Daru's voice is funny, it seems as if he is pain and out of breath lol

So the awkwardly directed, bad comedy SoL version of S;G continues.

This episode was definitely better than the first 2, and the ending was good though.

How can you call a show where the MC gets serious PSTD 3 episodes in, "bad comedy"?

Because around 4 minutes of the show were centered around him, the rest was Suzuha jumping on her mother and "but he's a dude" for the nth time, that's how.

That's to provide a balance between comedy and drama, if the show was purely drama it wouldn't come close to being that great. Remember how the original Steins;Gate set off?

The episode started from fluff and calm to haunting traumatic flashbacks. That ending scream remind me of the same scream of okabe when he stabbed kurisu and another scene where he stabbed himself to gushed out his blood.

Leskimeme fell to the trap, worst is he referred Luka as astounding sexy. xD

Amazing episode, so far Steins;Gate 0 is living up to my expectations, I really hope they manage to capture most of the important details of the VN, I haven't played the VN though.

My only complaint so far is the CGI used for Kurisu, is like is not constant. In some parts of this episode Kurisu was in CGI but in other parts she had normal drawing.

If they going to make Kurisu in CGI then they should keep the CGI for consistency. Seeing her in CGI and then seeing her with normal drawing on other parts is a bit distracting I guess...

I think it's intentional to reflect Okabe point of view. The parts that Amadeus has nowmal drawing indicates Okabe is seeing her as Kurisu.

Both CGI and normal drawing mixed up represent Okabe's state of mind. The line is really blurry.

If they wanted to make her totally CGI, they could just do it. CGI is easier than drawing.
I'm curious if is intentional to show okabe's pov of kurisu as an AI (CGI) to real kurisu (2D), or its just low budget, but yeah, if its low budget they dont need to go to 2D and just went to consistent CGI or vice versa. So I'm still doubting the shifting of CGI to 2D is cause by low budget.

Ya see here, I strongly suggest you to watch the Steins;Gate Movie: Fuka Ryouiki no Déjà vu. This film will easily explain the phenomenon that happened in this episode.

Awwwww, that's mildly spoilery, knowing that it's the same phenomenon. Had no way of knowing that it was the same thing. Oh well, at least it's minor.

I agree with professor Leskinen, Ruka is the most sexy girl

ANd it does not matter if she is a dude. Okabe should just shut his mouth

Of course, the real fanboys appreciate every little detail that makes an episode great, unless you think your reactions are objectively superior to those of the fanboys.

Yes, professor Leskinen seems exceedingly eccentric. At least we got to see Maho in intriguing situations thanks to him, she sure is cute. Too bad that she caused Okabe's PTSD to act up...

As a VN reader, I think the changes aren't too bad. I'm really enjoying it so far.

My only real complaint is the CG, they need to cut it off completely. Non-CG Amadeus is just way better.

I read all messages in here and disappointed. Anime is really really going on story in the best way. Why?

VN has alternative endings and can't focus completly to main story. In here in the last scene of episode 2, Mayuri is actually watching Okabe's all moves, she understands something is coming. In VN Mayuri's role was too slim. But here she has a real job. She watches Okabe and seeing his bad change becasue of Amadeus. She even dont know Makise, she feel so depressed because Okabe's health going down. In episode 3, best scene was Mayuri listens Okabes speech. And then she realize, she is a person who have died many times. Because she already see Okabe and kurisu in her dreams. The moment she walks back to lab, she put her hand to her chest and was really serious. That scene was epic plotted. How she feels about Okabe's despair and speech, she know Okabe is going bad. That was epic how she care about him like in episode 23B. And that ending is carrying a message about anime, Okabe all watches kurisu and live in a desert of despair. And Mayuri is walking a desert wind and crying while watching him and try to save him. But how Mayuri walks is shows us how she is helpless to help Okabe.

Shit's gettin' real now. Finally some plot development! Not to say character development deserves any less praise or attention, I'm just excited that the show is soon to be in full swing.

Uhm...it's Yukari Tamura. It is and always has been her, in the VN as well as in the anime.

I've never seen it like this. Do you mean that Mayuri feels that Okabe's attachment to the memories of Kurisu can only ruin him, he got stuck in the past and dreadfully needs help? In that case nobody can help him but her and her role is somewhat decisive (Arc Light). That means VN cut it off on purpose and this made it weaker too. I can't help but the background of Orihime&Hikoboshi (Vega&Altair) is definitely Mayuri&Okabe story, and despite the obvious romance Okabe&Kurisu, this story seems unfathomable in its depth. You're attentive.

Professor Alexis is a true man of culture. Smart and with great taste.

OT: Nice episode, Okabe grown quite attach to the Kurisu a.i and it seems like things will take a turn for the worst in the next one. Looking foward to it.

Professor Leskinin is hilarious. He's like a little kid haha.

Poor Okabe. He was falling for Kurisu all over again but then had to come back to the reality she's not actually there anymore :/

WTF are you high or something? It's just Okabe's getting too attached to the technology to accept the reality.

I think it's just Okabe snapping back to reality. He's been facing away from reality these days, it's time to slap him.

Steins;gate 0 has been my favorite anime of this season. So I'm a little sad this episode underwhelmed me slightly. I just couldn't get into the party scene at all. Though maybe that's the point. That we the audience wanting to see the main plot advanced. Would have difficulty being invested. But it felt pretty cheesy especially Maho in the Santa Dress.

I also find myself in general not as interested in Mayuri this go round. As she's decidedly more mature and less bubbly. But doesn't act all that different? It's hard to put your finger on. That said I'm loving the developing plot between Okabe and Amadeus. It's deliciously sad and cruel. And I really felt for our boy at the end there. Even if the scream was a little...cringe.

Ruka best girl confirmed. Pretty chill episode overall, a few comedy moments. But that ending was real interesting. I wonder why Mayuri just walked away.. Also Okabe seems to be going insane. I'm guessing next ep is going to be about Maho and Okabe talking about Kurisu.
