| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Mayuri is so honest :o The more I look at it, the more it feels like Okabe is speaking to the real Kurisu. Their personalities are so alike! The Amadeus system really is an impressive piece of technology. Okabe really feels like he's speaking to her as part of the experiment. (I do find it kinda amusing that the AI is still wondering why Okabe calls her "Christina") Meanwhile, it looks like the episode takes place during around Christmas time and Mayuri always adds more fun to the show with her ideas. I feel the Christmas spirit. Those outfits looks great on the girls. |

| This episode is more laid back, but I love it, especially the end. When Kurisu mentioned the My Fork and My Spoon, my god it had an impact. Anyway, the next episode is going to be really interesting. Cannot wait.    |

| I love this episode, a 10/10 for me. It was such a laid back and fun episode and they got everything they needed to right. Every character was gold. |

| A more laid back episode. Seems as though Okabe got a little too comfortable talking with Kurisu and had to be reminded she's an AI. The ptsd flack backs are pretty intense. |

| A more laidback episode this time to calm us from the intense first 2 episodes. It clearly wasn't as great as the first two but its still very enjoyable. That ending was impactful and really made me feel sad for my man Okabe :( . |
| Mayuri is too precious.Those Santa outfits were great. This episode was such a treat,Steins;Gate even excels at slice of life. But the OkabexAmadeus bits were pretty heart wrenching again..especially the end. Man, this is one of the few shows where next week can't come soon enough. |

| That ending.... Whole episode is happy and Mayuri is trying to cheer everyone up, and then you get this ending full of despair. |
| I love the similarities from the original Steins;Gate in this episode. From the party, to the 'but he's a guy'. Personally my favourite episode. But I know it will only get better |

| Man these episodes blow by so fast. I feel like I just need to see what happens next, NOW. This sequel does such an excellent job of managing to straddle from the light comedic scene to the tragic all the while preserving the sense of dread, that bad things could happen any moment. Love it. I lol'ed big time when the professor fell for the trap. Classic. |

| A more chilling episode featuring a Christmas party. Okabe is really enjoying to speak with Amadeus, I mean is feels like the real one, their chemistry is good with a nice sense of humor. That party with santa outfits and everyone reunited was a nice touch. That scene "but he is a guy" made me laugh, one of the best scenes. That cliffhanger in the end tho, was an impactful scene. A good way to end the episode. |

| They crammed 7 hours of playtrough to episode 2 and 3 and the pacing is perfect i must say those chapters were really boring in the VN, The party, the atmosphere, the OST, the only missing thing is "we will start the 65535th Round Table Meeting". This Slice of life feels like the old days. they skip some important plot point, we will have to see how they gonna make this works next episode will be very tricky, they can start ruin the plot there but i hope i'm wrong. |

It isn't as much that they crammed 7 hours of the VN into episode 2 and 3, they shifted the events and dates around. First of all, the conference where you meet Maho starts in late november in the VN, where the anime didn't start until december 10th. The timeline is essentially shifted forward by over 2 weeks in the anime. The side-effect of this is that the christmas party event comes much faster. Its apparent that this isn't the exact same thing as the VN, but honestly that could easily work to its benefit as the VN was fairly poorly structured and without some changes you're not going to get a good adaption. |

Agreed, next episode might be still as light-hearted as this but the thing is how they gonna start things up is bugging me i'm so afraid they could ruin everything with a single episode, that's why this is gonna be tricky |

| I like this new take on the Christmas party scene, and the way they still made everything fall apart at the end (albeit in a very different way). Definitely feels like the next episode is going to get serious. Plenty of still shots mirroring CG's from the visual novel. The episode does feel a little bit like a continuous stream of arbitrary scenes that had chronologically happened before the party, but the relevance of those scenes will probably become more clear later. I think the episode presented Okabe's changing attitude toward Amadeus Kurisu quite well. Facial expressions go a long way from distinguishing "normal conversation with a chat bot-like thing" to "legitimately fooling yourself into thinking you're talking to someone who no longer exists". I also liked the brief still shot of Maho's computer screen, which had a browser looking up some kind of psychological advice on Google in front of a real messy desktop. |

| Very fast paced but honestly that is a good thing because hopefully they will get to fill in a lot of the different routes and make them more fleshed out The ending of this ep tho ;_; Maho please |

I'm pretty sure they will end the first half of the anime (episode 11-12 or so) with . It's the best way to start the second half. |

Did someone say suffering? Why does Steins;Gate 0 has to be a dagger directed to my heart? Seeing Okabe break like this TT_TT I think Maho did Okabe a favor by taking away his phone. He was getting too much into thinking Amadeus is a memory-less Kurisu; altho this broke him and revived his trauma... Slow pace as usual, it's S;G, but so far I'm loving this. PD: When Amadeus said "My spoon and fork".... oh my god T=T |
