| Is there those type of shows, upon completion, you think it's quite good, give a pretty good rating, but you have absolutely no urge for a rewatch because you know you'd get bored for the rewatch, or there're next to zero rewatch value? For me there're some. For recent one, Violet Evergarden comes in mind. People keep saying the "artstyle" and "production quality" is the best part of the show, but I firmly disagree. I think the artstyle is pretty boring, and I don't feel anything special from the characters' design or the scenery. Just because it has high production does not make it good/ appealing artstyle. Story is the only thing that has value in the show, but I already know the plot, so I don't think I have any incentive to go through the slow burn/ slightly boring slice of life part all over again. Another show that comes to mind is Steins Gate. The story is pretty good I'd give it that, but I don't think I could stand rewatching all the slow burn buildup and obnoxious casts of the whole show again because I already know the plot. It's not about spoiler / knowing the plot beforehand. There're numerous examples of me watching the manga version of the show already, yet still immensely enjoying the anime version of it again and again (ex. Made in Abyss). It's just that the shows I mention don't have any rewatch value for me since the only thing worth praising for them is the plot and nothing else. PS: You HAVE to give decent rating (above 7) to that anime first before you mention the titles. I'm not looking for a list of anime you find it over-rated, just those you think have zero rewatch value despite you think it's pretty good. |

| If we're talking about series that I rated a 10, my answer will be Steins;Gate. I rated it a 10 because on how I was really amazed on its story but when it comes to enjoyment, overall it's totally not for me so that's the only series that I won't re-watch ever despite giving it a 10. |

| That would be most of animes I watched. Almost all of them are comedies, a whole bunch of which are filled with jokes that are funny only when you hear them for the first time. So there's no point in rewatching it. |

| I don't rewatch anything unless it has a sequel coming, and having rewatched Steins;Gate it felt so much more gut wrenching than the first time I had seen it. It reminded me why it still deserved that masterpiece rating. |

| a lot of them 07-ghost has no rewatch value now that I know the anime ends on a cliffhanger with little hopes of season 2 I can't rewatch Assassination Classroom because I know the ending and it's too sad Erased has no rewatch value for me now that I know who the killer is No. 6 idk why but I think I would be bored rewatching it. Shounen Maid is nice and cute the first time I watched it but the cuteness got boring when I think about rewatching it. by decent rating here I mean 8+ |

| I personally find it hard to rewatch anything and care. Shows don't really give any Incentive to rewatch other than re-enjoying a show. Since I've already lived a great experience, I'll move onto finding the next great experience. Unless the experience is really confusing. Then I'll rewatch it out of spite... |

| I don't understand those who rewatch shows: why watch smth you've already seen when you can see smth new? I watched more then once only movies (Miyazaki, Kon and Redline) and couple of good shows (like Cowboy Bebop) that I've seen really really long time ago (like 6-12 years ago) just to remember what they are about. |

| Mobile Suit Gundam 0079 (6/10 - Decent) It has good story, interesting characters like Char, and "war is hell" message. The downside is most the character designs (save for Char, Amuro, Sayla, Ral, and Garma) are downright dull and ugly at the worst, bad animation (70s at the best), weird mech designs (except Gundam and Zaku) and mediocre music doesn't help at all. It's classic anime but still very far from masterpiece though |

Rewatching makes me understand the works at much deeper level, find new meaning from the show, realize something that I missed on first run, deepen my appreciation towards shows, find new strengths and weaknesses of the show, and so many things…, and it can be more enjoyable than watching new series. At the end, it all comes down to personal preferences, though… yea you are right with what you said but just watching new shows sounds more fun to me than analyzing details and depths of a show but like you said its personal preference. |
