I have an all-in-one pc that my mom bought for the family (just me and her) back in 2014~15. After I left the house I took the pc (the one I'm using now) and I think it's time for an upgrade.

I want to play some games every once in a while like CS:GO or League but I'm just not sure what to get. I considered console but realized that I really wouldn't have any use for it because I'd only play said games every now and then. I'm around the idea of getting a laptop or a full on pc, but also implying that the graphics cards are inflated in price that I'm not too sure. I could scrape parts from the all-in-one.

Price range is 600 I think.

How good is your current PC? If it can run cs:go and league satisfactorily then no point in investing in a new pc or laptop.

Why not a notebook then? It's slim, lightweight, not too noisy, and I believe the integrated graphics are adequate enough to run the games you mentioned smoothly.

Actually you already do own a PC right? Then why not just upgrade your System? Like your ram is not bad. Processor needs to be upgraded to like i5 or i7. And just upgrade or buy a graphics card. All that should come up within 600.

Ah, I see. Anyways, I am like you also a very casual gamer now. So, I have kinda lost touch in building PC's and such.

But, if you are looking for a laptop. Then I can suggest you one since recently one of my friend, who is also a very casual gamer, bought a dell laptop to play csgo and dragon ball fighterZ. it's this laptop . And it runs those games pretty smoothly. So, if you want you can check that out or something similar to that configuration.

Yeah as you said graphics card prices are inflated so unless you're someone who excess money to spend don't bother getting one. Just get a laptop within your price range. Any laptop can run CSGO and league pretty well anyways.

The component that's bringing your performance down is the processor. i3 cores are outdated and probably the reason why you can't even run Roblox haha. Some people might also argue that 8GB RAM is too small but it's fine honestly.

I did a quick search on Amazon and this seems like the best bang for your buck. If your goal is to play CS:GO, League, and TF2 comfortably, then this should suffice. GeForce MX150 isn't exactly a high-end graphic card, but it's more than enough to play your desired titles (Nvidia even marketed this particular product towards eSports gamers). I believe it's even good enough to play most AAA games today if you stick to medium-low settings. Lastly, it fits your desired $600 price range.

You could try upgrading the graphics card on your PC, but they're hella expensive nowadays. Maybe build a new PC from scratch although I'm not an expert on that subject.

I'd also suggest something with a Ryzen APU since graphic cards are overpriced af right now(and probably won't fall soon...).

As @Skittle mentioned, this is what you are looking for. I actually had my eye on that one, but ended up going for an Acer Nitro 5.

If you don't mind a desktop, then the $630 HP Pavilion i3-7100 GTX1050 seems to be a reasonable choice despite the dual-core i3 CPU, but it has hyperthreading, it's a kabylake - power efficient =) so make do >~< For $680 I'd recommend the HP Pavilion Ryzen 5 1400 RX580. This CPU is a bit faster, quad-core, 8 threads and on top of that you have a RX580 which should run even modern AAA games on low settings.
With the latter you're pretty much set for at least 3-5 years, but it's slightly more expensive and it's more power hungry if you're concerned about that.

Of course, building your own system (if you don't mind desktop) is the way to go. Due to the GPU inflation, you probably want to look into used GTX 900 series. For RAM, prices should go down the next couple months. You could save some $20 to $40 dollars for waiting. Of course, you could buy secondhand with some degree of confidence, as RAM is a component which tends to survive the used market.

*edit: I then read @hiyoon 's post. If you're that serious about very light/casual gaming, a Ryzen APU (with integrated graphics) should suffice. His/Her build seems solid.

Build yourself a PC with a Ryzen 5 2400G - it can handle the games you mentioned.

Here's a quick build with it:

All parts can be swapped out in the future if you decide to upgrade.

I think I found a youtube recommend a laptop that nailed your preference.

GPU: MX150 2GB Vram, suitable for lower budget or casual games.

CPU: i5-8250U 4 Cores/8 Threads, like i7-7th gen but cheaper, U processor consume less power allow longer battery life

RAM: 8 GB, adequate amount of RAM for general use.

Resolution: 1920x1080 Full HD, majority's favorite resolution that is not expensive

SSD: 256 GB

I tried finding i3 8th gen with MX150, such laptop doesn't seems to exist.

Don't buy a laptop, please.

You should get the Ryzen 5 2400G. It should be good enough for esports games and the best part about it is that it wont bottleneck most of the gpus, which is a huge plus as you could upgrade at any time you want.

You can make the PC portable by buying a Mini-ITX motherboard.

I second this. PCs are cheaper and haver better performance. Go for PC (look for the Mini ITX format as @a_new_dawn mentioned) unless you really need the portability offered by laptops.
