I watched it on TV and I remember it was Slam Dunk, Doraemon, Pokemon, Elemental Gerard, that anime about a spider family that wrecked my childhood, I forgot the name.

And of course Pichi! Pichi! Pitch or something.

Probably Pokemon. Now if you refer the first one I watched online and knowing I was watching Japanese animation, probably One Piece.

Highschool of the Dead. This friend of mine that lived next door and I played with everyday one day came talking about it. I didn't really paid attention to it until months later. Facebook pages I liked sometimes posted about anime, and I started to like anime pages and get to know anime more. Eventually I remembered Highschool of the Dead and since I had it as reference, I started to watch it back in Summer 2013. After it I started High School DxD and it has been my favorite anime ever since.

A few years ago the first anime I watched was Death Note, it seemed like an obvious choice from its popularity and its dark theme. Second was probably SAO, but that's trash.

Tenkuu no Shiro Laputa, we had to watch it in 4th grade since we learned Japanese. The first anime I willingly saw was Fairy Tail though.

I saw at least three Hayao Miyazaki films in the 1990s, the first one being "My Neighbor Totoro" circa 1995.

The first anime that I saw was probably Rurouni Kenshin and Hunter x Hunter 1999 version. It was way back 2004 and I was 7 yrs old back then. I remember watching it everyday and I didn't even know at the time that it was an anime, I only know that it's a cartoon. It is one of my best childhood memories and I will never forget and regret it because it paved the way to a WHOLE NEW WORLD OF ANIME. A thing I will proudly remember until the day I die.

Back before I knew that anime was a different thing from cartoons, I used to watched Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh and Beyblade, but grew out of those (except Pokemon)

My first conscious decision to watch an anime was about 3 years ago when I watched Tokyo Ghoul on Netflix. While it's not my absolute favourite anymore. It still holds a place in my heart as the show that introduced me to anime.

My first anime was Naruto Shippuden. Yes, I watched it before watching Naruto just to join in on the popular discussions between my friends.

As a kid I watched Transformers Victory and Voltron on the TV in 1994. Already then I knew it was japanese animation, but the word "anime" was unknown to me.

I've started watching it "for real" after I saw Neon Genesis Evangelion in 2000.

Ah man you guys make me feel old :-P

I don't know if its countable or not, but as a kid I watched the hacked up Harmony Gold "Robotech" (Macross + two other shows dubbed to sound like one continuous show).

Also I think first anime movie I saw was Princess Mononoke, then first real anime was Escaflowne

Attack on Titan (other than pokemon which I won't count bc I didn't know it was anime)
I was introduced to it by the president of my school's anime club. I saw introduced but in reality, it was more like forced. See, he was also a nationally ranked wrestler and captain for the wrestling team. You don't really say no to that kind of guy when you're just a freshman. Another thing is that he told me not to look at anything related to AoT before watching it (ie: synopsis). This made that crazy scene from ep 1 absolutely terrifying. I had no idea what to expect beforehand, and that scene blindsided me like a truck!

Elfen Lied In 2010. I never finished it but I liked it somewhat. Nyu was annoying and adorable at the same time.

I was like eight when they did a re-run of Akage No Anne (Anne of Green Gables) on this italian morning block, and I fondly remember watching every single episode.

Other kids preferred Dragon Ball Z and Pokémon, but nah son, get that weak shit outta here, I want to see the coming-of-age of literally best redheaded girl in all of anime.
Talk about character development? I started liking beer.

Pokemon on TV like a decade ago. (Didn't know about anime)

Blue Exorcist (?) on Crackle I think, probably like 2011 or whenever it came out. Friend loved it and shared the show with me. Ended up watching a few others on Crackle. Nurahiyaon no Mago, FF7 Movie (I think), Rurouni Kenshin and I think that was it.

I didn't get into the scene actively until like 2013. Didn't have anything left on TV, got tired of reruns, ended up watching stuff on Netflix. Eventually ran over the anime category and started watching. Ended up keeping it going from there for about a year then Netflix's library wasn't cutting it for me and I moved to streaming through like KissAnime for awhile.

After awhile I switched to downloading and that's where I am now.
