| Dragon Ball GT is an alternative version of the Dragon Ball Z continuation. Dragon Ball Super is the only legit sequel of DBZ. |
| Both are sequels, Super is the canon one and GT is not; it was an original storyline by Toei. Nevertheless, they do not overlap each other; the events in Super all happen before the first events in GT, so the former is not a retelling of the events in the latter whatsoever. |
