Another episode of intense action. I love how this show never seems to slow down on that.
Meanwhile on Twitter, there's gossip everywhere.

Lupin's this role was mostly for comedy moments but I do find his bond with that new girl somewhat interesting. Jigen is still such a badass in this anime. Never a moment yet from this show that I doubt his abilities so far. The G-Platform is also an interesting way to show how badass these characters are from this show.

I think with this episode, Part V has officially distinguished itself from Part IV.

Part IV's Lupin was much closer to a hero than an actual thief. However, he's now a criminal and willingly so. He even doesn't mind shooting others despite that formerly being something he'd be against.

Next episode looks very interesting.

Also, it's clear that Part V takes place at least a few years after Part IV.

That was a nice episode, but I can't say I'm looking forward for Fujiko, I didn't like her in the original at all.

Nice episode and season so far, a bit darker than part IV.
Goemon showing the fishing guy what, ''look ma no hands'' really means.
Lupin with his awesome lines and toe shooting skills.
This is gonna be a good season and next episode is a Zenigata one, nice.

Another episode that went full swing of action and mind games. I agree others that Part V's Lupin's character is way different here and felt for me like there was some significant timeskip after part4 especially the last minute development with Fujiko and from the look of PV.. Damn! cant wait for next week! Also Zenigata seems different too :O

I find t weird that this show doesn't show a lot of blood despite like 20 people dying in this episode. People get cut up and shot and no fucking blood comes out

Heh, well episode 3 this week touched on alotta what I mentioned last week for an overall fun outing. Watching Lupin(and us) get to know Ami better, fucked up past btw, and manipulate the game/assassins to his advantage was great. Ditto Jigen and Goemon mowing them down. Chopping off his hands Goemon? Brutal stuff. XD And well, I did say Lupin wasn't always honorable right? It's a shame that "Momma" character with the massive tits died, but in comes Fujiko to fill the void, with murderous intent. Not that she's a real threat of course, all things considered. And best of all, Zenigata! I wonfdered why he wasn't still going after Lupin last week and it seems the show agreed with me! Zenigata episodes are usually among my favorites so definitely looking forward to next week!

I must say, this was probably my favourite episode so far. It had stellar action, with fabulous animation (it even had 2D vehicle animation, which is something I absolutely love). Other than Ami's incredibly fucked up, super depressing backstory, this was overall a really fun episode. I wasn't sure if I would like Ami at first but she's certainly growing on me. I also really liked how everyone in the comments on the Lupin Game site were total ass-holes, it brought a sense of realism to it. Overall, really excited to see where it goes from here, especially excited to find out what happened between Lupin and Fujiko.

I'm truly impressed by how this anime only suprises me - and in a good way! I thought they would prolong the whole assassins thing a little bit more, but it's already done, they aren't wasting any single minute. I just wanted to had seen Goemon and Jigen fighting in the first scene, but that's okay. We had they fighting later and it was pretty good u.u
I really enjoyed that they reaffirmed that Ami will not be Lupin's love interest. I was thinking that maybe she will have the same dynamic Clarisse had in Cagliostro, a more platonic/one-sided thing from her part. But I hope it's not even this; it would be interesting to see her in the entire story with a different kind of role.
Now Fujiko is F I N A L L Y there and I can't help but to think that maybe this part 5 will have some focus on her relationship with Lupin? Maybe even more than the Columbus Files??? I love their dynamic so it will be reeeeeally interesting to see it on the spotlight.
Also, when are they going back to France?? I can't wait to see the anime exploring more of the French culture AND Lupin family background.

Amazing episode again, Madoka bless everyone involved with this, amen.

This show is really interesting, I've never seen the first 4 parts and thought heck, why not? and jumped into this one, and it's really fun to watch! I might go back and watch the other parts too!

I feel really bad for Ami, her past seemed really disturbing...

Another great episode. I was joking with a friend of mine that Fujiko would try and kill Lupin before the season was over and she goes and does it in the next episode. The show may look similar to part 4 but it definitely feels a lot different.

What do you do when you've got 50 assassins all vying for your head? Manipulate them into killing each other and pick off the stragglers! Not to mention Ami's back story is also pretty dark, not quite The Woman Called Fujiko Mine levels of dark, but it does seem that there was some inspiration there (minus the blood and nudity).

Speaking of Fujiko, it was good to see her appear properly right before we were left with that cliffhanger. It'll be interesting to hear what happened between her and Lupin, although I doubt we'll get the full picture for a little while yet. I'm almost more curious to find out who is the man she's been with these past few episodes. I don't think he's connected to Marco Polo from what we've seen so far, but if he is who I think he is his last name is probably a strong hint...

Alright! Fujiko's made her entrance! the element of lust!
Why is Amy always going on about the subject of sex??!?
Looks like all the assassins are lame and weak!!
the only formidable opponent is just the one and only loyal pursuer: Zenigata!
5/5.

A very action-packed episode.

The action is distinctly Monkey Punch: Quirky criminals/assassins with guns, swords and a host of unusual weaponry. I found it a bit goofy and anachronistic, but I won't call that a bad thing: that's typical Lupin style, and I'm sure if these guys got their own spinoff they would be as effective as Lupin in the modern world.

It's very clever and strategic of Lupin to force a showdown with the assassins in a wasteland, as well as to get them turn on each other. He doesn't play fair... of course not, he's a criminal up against killers. And Zenigata is his only worthy rival anyway.

Fujiko makes her move. The preview shows that doesn't get too far though. Still, it's distinct Fujko to have someone else do all the work and then she steps in at the end to take the loot, the only question is how far she could get away with it.
But it looks like something serious happened between Lupin and Fujiko, he's not as hot for her as he used to be. I wonder what that's about.

Ami has quite a sad story. Still, it's nice to see her and Lupin interact well, they make a good team. And LOL at Goemon being linked as Lupin's lover.

I am sick of that smug Marco Polo executive. I'm looking forward to seeing him lose it as Lupin constantly beats him.

The comments on the sidelines annoy me really much(kind of cringey actually). Not really sure what direction they're going for this season but I'm honestly not all too impressed by it. But it is still pretty enjoyable

What are you referring to by “comments” and what makes it cringey? Also it’s pretty clear they’re “going for” how a thief like Lupin can still survive and be elusive in the modern technology age and its working really well. Makes sense that they’d address it eventually.

Yet another fantastic episode. Part 5 is on a roll.

@AnimEva It just feels like it. Like some of the lines from it really feels forced and really distracts me from taking it seriously. I guess I'm just nitpicking but that's honestly one of the things that annoy me the most and Ami too.

Not for me currently honestly. Sure it does make sense with modern tech and Lupin but so far, I'm not liking the direction its taking and Ami isn't really the most interesting pick for a new main character. I don't really expect you to agree with me but yeah. Sure enough the manhunt looks like it's a great idea and all but I'm really not feeling it as of now. I'm hoping the next few episode can hook me. Don't get me wrong, I don't dislike the show.

What I mean about the direction its taking is as to what they're trying to go for with this modern manhunt. What you mention is more or less what we're seeing currently and not really what I meant. Like with these events unfolding each episode, where does it lead to? and whatnot. Like stealing e-money isn't really the most interesting thing to watch imo

Yeah I’m not feeling or seeing that at all. It’s firing on all cylinders and the series is as good as its ever been. It’s boggles my mind that you feel that way because imo the dialogue has been super strong. Are there any examples you could give?

Wrong. He’s all of those! That’s the great thing about the series. The characters are extremely versatile. And to claim any interpretations of them are any less legit kind of misses the point of how much variation the series has.

Zenigata is coming

Fujiko is at it again, I'll never tired of that sentence xD
I still prefer Ami even if I don't know anything about her
Fujiko's past is a bit uninteresting, if part 1-3 is considered canon.. I don't think we know a lot about her either other than her previous "partners"

Next ep, finally Zenigata and Lupin working together!
Always my favorite episode when they're working together

Great episode! It's darker than Part IV, but it still uses humor and light heart things to balance things out.

There were killings, but it didn't look "realistic" enough with all the blood and all. Heck, I thought they were just unconscious.

I also love how they don't hold back in the more darker stuff. Stuff with Ami being in the underground child pornography. Even asking Lupin to have sex with her since she is curious.

You wouldn't see this kind of thing in a Cartoon or any Animation in the West. So Japan as always, not to hold back on things. They even got Ami shot despite being a minor.

Can't wait for more Lupin Goodness!

Amazing episode. I love how Ami took control over that factory, and helped Lupin to fight in her own way. And it's awful she had to go through that, but at least her skills saved her from being sold to be sexually abused. She was "only" mentally, and physically abused by those monsters. Fortunately she isn't alone anymore.

Lupin was so daring too, challenging all those assassins openly like that, the battle in the wasteland was pretty cool. He put them against themselves, and it cut their numbers down. They really had no chance against Lupin, and his team after all. But the comments in real time were kind of cool if kind of silly. It made me feel like I was watching it live with many people. They were fools to believe Lupin, Jigen or Goemon were going down though, but I guess they just don't know them enough.

And Fujiko finally made her appearance on the main stage! Lupin said so wistfully that they no longer have that kind of relationship when Ami asked about her. I would love to see their relationship on focus on this Part. And of course she doesn't mean to kill Lupin, but the prying eyes are still watching, and I guess they need closure. Let's see what's going to happen.
